There were in stock last month at a much higher price in most online PC shops, and most were out of stock the next day.

This is a full HD (1080p - 1920x1080) 22" monitor with HDMI. It doesn't have a built in tuner but I think your better of buying an upscaling freeview box and connecting it via the HDMI port. The screen ratio is also 16:9, which as you probably know is the default format for widescreen TVs. There is a small price difference on other sites, but this doesn't put aside the fact this is a true bargin. Also available in 24 for £224"

Probably should have had the 22" as the Go to Deal link, confuses people who just clicked on Go to Deal without reading the rest.

Voted hot.

Its a good price for a full HD Monitor. Only 19 in stock so be quick if you want one.

Full HD is great for movies and for linking up HD gaming consoles, HD freeview boxes or photo editing but is not so good for general web use as web pages and text appear much smaller and this can make them difficult to read. If you are wanting a 22" for general PC use then you may want to bear this in mind.

Well done OP on a good find.

Even if it is, it'll be wasted. Still, voted hot.

Of course this is 1080p. Resolution has nothing to do with screen size. There a number of 1080p laptops on the market and Im sure they dont have 32" screens ... rofl

Nope, every recent pc monitor is HD ...I am writing this on a 1680x1050 desktop 22" HP monitor.

You can set the resolution to whatever is comfortable.

Hardly any monitors are HD because most are 16:10. Only a few 16:9 have hit the markets recently. Ebuyer and dabs said they will have more in stock in less than a week. You can get it for £152 at morecomputers.com

Huh? I have a Rock laptop with a 17 inch screen that is 1080p! In fact its higher than 1080p as the native res for the screen is 1920x1200p.. :whistling:

Well, about performance, I got this monitor few weeks back.

Good
Screen is matte finish, so not much reflections, personally I like matte instead of glossy.
1920*1080 full hd resolution (has VGA D-Sub+ HDMI +DVI Ports, Yes all 3!, any input can be selected quicly using button)
Movies appear great, you can eliminate black bands mostly (if you use VLC media player and hit the 'a'spect button.
Colors appear good, even from 40 degree sideways... cant check more than that as my room is small
Great deal for movies, media system etc
Nice cable loop behind to tuck away the cables
Ports are bottom mounted, so easy to access even if you wall mount (non extending types)

Bad
By default, without TTF enabled in windows, text appears a bit strange (inherent in LCDs I guess, but I thought it was more pronounced here)
Enabling TTF leads to green/red effects on some letters along vertical edges (Not sure if there is a way to solve this, read that some LCDs work better with TTF than others)
The stand can not be fully detached :x , yes thats a real irritation when i Wall mount the set, the "stem" of the stem remains attached and remains jutting out from behind, visible from front (3/4 inched at least), only the horizontal base can be taken off, unfortunately.
