The price sounds great but does anyone know who BenQ are and if the quality of the camera will be up to much?

Youve never heard of BenQ??????

A few reviews here, which suggest it's a distinctly average camera. It's not a terrible deal, but I suspect there are better cameras out there for about the same or not much more money. Not voting either way on this one.

The thing is that you don't really need 10 MP. I've got a Canon Powershot A720is, which is a much better camera and I'm sure takes better, more detailed photos, yes it is more expensive, but it's only 8MP. Really to be honest, anything with more than 5MP is fine for any size prints that the typical user is going to want to print. We've got an A3 photo of my daughter on the wall which was taken with a 3.2MP Olympus camera about 3 years ago. Quite often less pixels actually gies a better photo as more light can get to each pixel on the sensor, as each pixel is that bit bigger.
