The BenQ LED monitors come with an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 to add colour depth and definition to darkened and complex visuals, so that everything you see – from the brightest white to the darkest black – is perfectly rendered to deliver the most incredible picture performance. With the help of LED backlight technology and its capability to promptly address the lighting changes, every image detail is perfectly rendered with optimized colour and brightness performance without light leakage even in darkened scenes. This is especially true for the black and yellow colour gamut. The BenQ LED monitors are backlit by performance-steady LEDs to give you the most stable brightness and flicker-free settings. Their instant-on capability boosts operational efficiency, keeping everything is picture-ready from the moment you turn on your screen.

Surely the Philips has gotta be a better bet for the extra £2?

But this is LED lit, so uses less leccy...also wall-mountable...the Phillips one doesn't say if it has VESA mountings.

Benq have acquired a decent reputation over the past few years

This is a very good monitor, I know as I bought one myself last Sept, it was tested as best buy by PC Pro magazine.

I've got a set of them for eyefinity. Pretty solid monitors. Wouldn't look back at this price.

May I ask did yours come with/without the following;
DVD-D cable
UK power cable

just a quick question guys, i currently have a nasty 26" goodmans lcd which ive been connecting to my laptop via HDMI in order to get my work done with a wireless keyboard and mouse (i find it hard to work on a laptop). The resolution is awful so makes everything really small so im looking to upgrade. I can get hold of a PANASONIC TX-L32S20BA for £250, but im wondering will it be any good as its primary use would be as a monitor and not as a tv. Am i better looking for a monitor instead of a tv? thanks

Comes with a VGA cable and a power cable. You'll have to buy a DVI cable if you want to conect that way.

I have owned a Benq monitor for about 4 years and would recommend it as being up there with the best.

Great service when I had an RMA with one in work as well.

Bought this monitor in December, excellent buy in my opinion!

I am thinking about getting a 22" FullHD LED TV (for 179) - would this be a better bet? Is it considerably small compared to a 22" screen?

I don't have this specific model but I have its predecessor, which I've been led to believe is very similar! I'd really recommend it, great picture, no problems with it at all.

I bought this for £114 a few months ago and it is a fantastic screen. Stupidly bright, doesn't use much power and plugs and plays straight off. Hot for me.

Pennies cheaper via Scan, however Scan offer uncharged delivery - and that's a next-day service:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/free-delivery-scan-no-minimum-av-forum-posts-minimum-spend-20-still-applies/873519

Edit:
better buy from Scan - Scan's description page states 3-year warranty (Ebuyer only offers 2 years).

Plus shipping, making Crescent Electronics more expensive at £108.84 delivered, possibly less if you can coax its system not to default to next day delivery, but then it would not be a like-for-like comparison...
And Crescent's description doesn't indicate length of warranty - doesn't even mention warranty(!), so possibly min 12months.

This monitor is always around this price, I got one fore £104 delivered from Amazon a couple of months ago. I don't think it's that great a monitor really, bad viewing angle. For the money it is OK.
#20
I took the plunge and ordered one. Don't know if Ebuyer have a glitch in their system right now but next day delivery came up free for me.
#21
anyone got any personal pics?
#22
