Seems a good price. If I remember correctly, the main difference between the G2410HD (this) and the newer G2411HD/G2412HD/G2420HD is that the G2410HD does not come with a HDMI 1.3 port and a Headphone Jack. So if thats something your after then perhaps the G2410HD is not for you!

Heat added.

Just a head's up to save anyone from disapointment, this monitor does'nt ship with a DVI cable! You might want to buy one at the same time of ordering if you don't already have one to spare .

Can you attach a freeview box via HDMI and use it as a TV?

Great price for a DVI-D monitor, heat++!

Got this when it was around £135.
Excellent price.

I would recommend the 2420 if you want to double up the monitor as a gaming display.
Mainly because of the Headphone port. Just plug some standard PC speakers into it for audio :)

It doesn't have hdmi so you'd need a DVI adapter. Also, there's no speakers so again you'd need to sort something out for that. Some Dell monitors have HDMI in with an analogue audio out which can be used with their soundbar clip on speaker. Expect to pay more than this, but I have this setup and the PQ is excellent from a freeview box.

Wish someone would find some 1900x1200 bargains, surely these narrow widescreen don't feel right for photos and work/browsing etc?

Exellent monitor. Have had mine for a few months now, when it was a slightly higher price.

PQ is very bright and vivid and comparable to more expensive monitors I've seen.

Cheapest I could see one of them for is around the £170 mark (but not in stock at most places), is it worth the extra £40+ for a headphone port? :?

The only thing I don't like about the one in this deal is the bulge where the control buttons are, which spoils the look, perhaps I'm being too fussy though?

I use the headphone port on the front panel of my pc so surely I wouldn't need it in the monitor ?

I have a 5.1 Creative surround system so use that but I could use the headphone port on the front of my computer as you do. It could be to do with connecting a PS3 / XBox etc so you can use the HDMI connection without connecting it to a sound system but I'm not sure as I don't have either, perhaps the Hornet could expand?

Hi can anyone confirm what the image is like at 1680x1050.
Was thinking of getting 3 to go with a matrox triplehead2go and it only supports up to 3x1680x1050
#21
Just tried and it sorta looks out of focus on mine at those settings

It would be OK for gaming and video but poor for text where it'll be noticably blurry unfortunately.

OK thanks. Might have to skip it if out of focus.
#25
It'll only be blurry if you dont use it at its native resolution but all LCD monitors are the same in this respect.

The headphone port is only usefull if connecting something to the HDMI port as it would provide an easy way to get sound from the monitor :)

An extra £20 for the 2420HD @ Oyyy. A better option to those wanting to game with it & don't have a sound system with optical/phono.

Come on - at least read the previous page of this thread you would have seen this

"It doesn't have hdmi so you'd need a DVI adapter. Also, there's no speakers so again you'd need to sort something out for that. Some Dell monitors have HDMI in with an analogue audio out which can be used with their soundbar clip on speaker."

Mines arrived today, the DVI input has a fault and I can't get my DVI cable's to fit over it...great, now I have to return the thing, not very impressed.

any idea if this supports the nvidia 3d Discovery. I think it needs to be 120hz

Yup, has support 120hz which is still pretty uncommon, no 3d shennanigans with this screen.
