Was looking around at 27" monitors and I found this one. It seems like a good price especially for the resolution (I haven't found any other cheaper from a reputable seller - Korean knockoffs from ebay don't count).
It's essentially a cheaper version of the BenQ BL2710PT which costs a bit more: http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-BL2710PT-Monitor-USB2-0-USB3-0/dp/B00DZFPIOU/ref=pd_cp_computers_3

They both use the same panel though I believe, it's just the build quality may differ and also the colour settings too.

It's not the lowest it's ever been however, but it could be the cheapest around at this point.

costs an extra £161 to get 1440p resolution instead of 1080p 27" IPS Acer for £130

Not sure if the price is worth that resolution for me.

It depends, that isnt an option we can control, the market for 1440p monitors is just like that, a few years ago most 1440p monitors were ~£500. But yeah I had a look at camelcamelcamel after and realised it wasn't the lowest it had ever been - my bad.

I got a flubit on one of these before going for the acer-h276hl (too tight for my own good etc)

Flubit came in under 250

Reviews I read did say it might not be great for gaming though

For nearly £50 more why not go for the best BenQ monitor the 27" Z series which supports 144hz and 3D.

Because that's still 1080p correct?

Been hovering round this and a few other 1440p models for the last week or so, but I think I will leave it. Cant justify paying that much for a monitor, when i can get a 24inch ips 1080p for around £100. Also there are so many monitors coming out this year, with 4k panels getting cheaper aswell.

May consider it if flubit offered 250, if anyone does want to order, its £279 with free del at CCL

I think the prices of 1440p's will keep going down, they already have been since 4k started coming out, but 4k isn't great at the moment, and not many graphics cards can drive it if you want to game at the resolution. So it may be better to hold off for now, but then again with technology there's always something better around the corner.

this is a va 8bit (+2 frc) for 1bn colours and plus 100% srgb, cheaper alternative to the del ultrasharp 2713h/hm

Reasonably good price but I wouldn't describe the Korean screens on eBay as 'knockoffs' since they all use exactly the same panels inside, it's just the casing and connectivity that differs
