Problem I find with ALDI, LIDL and Netto is that whenever you go down there the best deals never seem to be on. Its not down to timing or location as I have checked and double checked when offers start, been outside the store before it opens and went to multiple locations... But, there is no evidence of those items being available. Talked to staff, even rang customer service but fobbed off. Therefore based upon this... voted cold from me!

Offers start on a thursday and sunday, read the leaflet or website to see which offer is on a particular day. I have many years experience of Aldi and totally disagree with your comments regarding waiting outside for the store to open and not seeing the offer, on rare occasions when an offer is not available, staff WILL know that the product has not arrived.
Obviously these offers are extremely limited (as are many similar offers in retail outlets).

My hot vote will negate your missinformed cold.

So when does this chair offer start?
#13
I'm guessing its already in store as the OP has posted pictures of the box. "Bulva", can you confirm this please?

Also having years (and years) of experience of ALDI (as well as LIDL and Netto offers whilst living in more than one county) I know exactly when and where the offers are (Its not hard to work out with the 'offer leaflets' that come through the letterbox... and the small print which states that offers only apply to certain, listed locations). Hence, based upon 'being informed' I go on the correct day, to the correct store, before it has opened (first customer through the door... like an early bird catching the worm) only to find that the item is not at the store and 'most' (please read carefully: 'most') staff arent aware of the item, despite having the leaflet in my hand as proof of the offer for that particular store. When speaking to customer service they simply state that items are not guaranteed to be in a particular store, despite being listed in the leaflet or online as 'participating'.

A vote is vote, doesnt matter what you do. (_;)

Will pop down and see if my Aldi has them but they never seem to have any of the deals posted :(.
#17
Thanks OP,
Wanted to buy an IKEA POANG for ages as they have loads of colours and fabrics that you can choose from, it's a pitty Aldi don't have these in different colours but £30 is much cheaper than IKEA.

Must have bad luck! Or bad stores! I've never had a problem with any of my local Aldi or Lidl deals, Lidl can be region specific though.

If it helps the Aldi on Standburn Road Glasgow had loads of them today.

If you use this link to go direct to the Aldi site and click on "Specials" it will ask for your postcode and then give you details for stores in your area - simples!

You seems to have an experience that is not typical of most people, never had a problem getting any of the Lidi or Aldi deals as long as im there early. Maybe your local stores are just rubbish? ,

So what if his experience is different than yours? it happened to him so he has every right to vote cold! He said he reads leaflets for offer start and goes down before the store opens, then you reply stating that he should have read the leaflets and "the early bird catches the worm", so maybe you should read more carefully yourself!

Can anyone who actually owns This Brentwood chair comment on the quality/comfort of it plz?
#25
Just a quick note that these were available from JTF trade warehouses the last time i was in one (the one near Sheffield) for 24.99.

They also had the black ones without the foot stool for 19.99

The box is different (the JTF one is just a plain cardboard box), but the chair is identical (I have one).

Its actually very nice for the price.
#26
I purchased this chair and footstool yesterday (available separately for £15) and I'm very impressed. Easy to put together and very comfortable.

There were loads of them available in the Aldi I went to.
#27
whats the big deal about this chair?

i mean, does it massage your buttocks?
#28
Oh I hadn't noticed that this doesn't include the footstool.. the white JTF ones do include it.

Not sure if they still in there but they should be as they are in the JTF furniture catalogue, so I assume they stock them all the time.
#29
Just a word of warning - we bought two of these last time they were on offer and the second time I sat on one the wood split next to one of bolts.

They may look like the Ikea chairs but they definitely aren't the same quality.

Aldi replaced it without argument, but I don't trust it entirely and while I'm over 6ft tall I'm not *that* heavy.
#30
just picked up two from the ilford store had plenty in stock. me and brother took and about 30mins to setup both will be stress testing both later :D
#31
can it fit into my saxo? looks like a big package ..emmm
#32
yeah it will fit in a saxo and small cars easily.
#33
They had 5 at the Clayton branch in Manchester. Then I took one.

I haven’t made any comment about an early bird or about reading leaflets? That was al by somebody else. Maybe you should take a step back and read before preaching about not reading people’s posts. Anyway I wasn’t saying or have said that he should vote either way, all I was adding is that his experience is not one that seems to be shared my myself or the majority of Hotdeals users, hence why I suggested his local stores might not be very good? All that seems fair enough to me and nothing there seems to warrant your abrupt response. Im sure you wouldn't snipe like that in person so you should think about showing the same manners when interacting online IMO.

15 Stone.
#38
Cheers, I sat on it and it survived (14 stone). Seems very comparable to my Ikea chair. Maybe not quite as good but I would have bought this was half the price of the Ikea chair in preference - had it been on offer at that time.
#39
looks like a sound offer.
pretty nice, timeless design and far cheaper than IKEA.

Thanks to the OP bagged a Chair & foot stool (Reduth).

Does anyone else find that the lower back strut is uncomfortable?

It is almost as if the cushioning is too thin.

I sit regularly on similar chairs at my tennis club, which came from a local Back centre shop and although the strut is positioned in a similar place they are far so comfortable (+ cost 4x as much!).

Has anyone tried memory foam or other closed cell foam pads as cushion boosters?

**UPDATE**

A Yoga Mat works fine, to cushion the strut.
