This is the version with Derek Jacobi, Joseph Fiennes & Timothy West, not the CGI version.

Beowulf tells the tale of a young Danish warrior called Beowulf who goes to the aid of King Hroogar and his people, who are attacked by a half-man half-monster named Grendel.

A furious battle ensues and Beowulf emerges as the victor, although Grendel's mother, an equally savage creature ambushes the men, beginning a battle in which many lives are lost.

The story continues with Beowulf becoming king of his own people, until one day a slave steals a golden cup from a dragon's lair. Once the dragon realizes the theft, it leaves its cave in a terrifying rage, attacking Beowulf's people and land as it searches for his treasure. In one last battle Beowulf comes to his people's aid with the help of a trusted warrior and slays the dragon, although at the cost of his own life.

What certificate rating is this? My 8 year old is doing a school production of this next week but all the film versions seem to be 15 or above (though listening to her practicing her lines I can see why!!)
