Millets are currently selling Berghaus Horizon jackets for £27.99 (claiming an RRP of £69.99).

Using the code 'Times30' (thanks to agnes for posting), this brings the jacket to £19.60.

Delivery costs £4.95, but is free if you buy more than 1 item.
I added a t-shirt which cost £1.99, therefore making delivery free.

Remember 6% Quidco.

It just has to be 2 items of clothing for the free delivery!

Good reduction, but I had a look at these in Millets the other day and wouldn't have paid more than a tenner for them.

Damn you

Damn this website

Damn my weak will

Another Damn 100 quid gone just like that :x

Berghaus Blast Jacket works out at £35 (before Quidco) - seems to be a billy bargain (only mediums left though) http://www.millets.co.uk/product/041868.html

Is the quality that bad?

These are light showerproof jackets & aint worth anywhere near the claimed RRP but for under £20 they are a decent deal.

Similar no name ones are around £15 +.

No they are not! They are just a plastic shell - that's it, not breathable, nothing - real value a fiver at very most

The only people who buy these are chavs who want a tag cheap - ice cold:whistling:

Isn't this brand now owned by Mike Ashley? (which explains the reduction in quality)

They may be showerproof, but as they're not breathable, you'll get just as wet from sweating like a pig in this!

Who said anything about being breathable? Sometimes a light showerproof jacket is all you need.

My point is that coming in at just under £20 (delivered) makes the price of a quality branded product (although the quality appears to be disputed here) in the same ballpark as a similar no name product.

Regarding the comment above regarding chavs being the only people who will buy one of these. I felt this was immature and insulting not only to myself (given I had already indicated I had bought one) but also anyone else who might own a similar item and the op who went out of his way to let us know of the deal.

On another note heres a couple of other things I bought which I thought were a good buy (bearing in mind free delivery & 30% off code).

Bought for the kids (£4.20 delivered) http://www.millets.co.uk/clothing/children/jackets/product/042291.html

For wifie (£3.50 delivered) http://www.millets.co.uk/clothing/women/fleece-and-knitwear/product/051034.html

Unfortunately I'm going to have to burn these when they arrive as obviously I would never let any of my family leave the house wearing something without a branded logo (I'll just leave them in the next car I torch)

Fair enough, but by quoting an RRP of £69.99 you would expect it to be breathable. I was looking for a cheap waterproof jacket for cycling, this is just not suitable.

Primark today - Jacket in a bag, very lightweight, showerproof and folds into a tiny sack (included) that you could slip into your pocket and forget - price? £2

Goodness knows what Berghaus would charge for this if they put their name on it!

They're designed to be lightweight, not take up too much space, and to be windproof without being heavy.

Plus, Berghaus customer service is top notch from my experience.

(Yes I do work for millets. However, I speak honestly. You may ask about any products and I will give you my honest opinion. In addition, the online part is entirely seperate to us, and practically in competition. )
