It weighs over 2.5kg - so that's a quarter of your weight allowance gone on Ryanair
It's really hard to find a lighter case anywhere - I was looking at the American Tourister by Samsonite but that weighs 3.3kg's and is only 32 litres capacity. At the end of the day, very few Ryan Air staff ask you to weigh your bag if it looks within the guidelines - they are more concerned about the size not the weight imho.
Good price - heat and rep added. Cheers OP. I had heard a rumor that these bags fitted Ryan airs guidelines and I was awaiting confirmation off Berghaus of their actual size so thanks op!!
And the blurb states

Dimensions: (approx) 54cm (H) x 36cm(W) x 25cm(D)
which is bigger than RyanAir's allowed size...though a review says it can be squashed down to 20cm.

Still seems a lot of money to me for a bag. I have a Regatta Survivor 35 (litre) rucksack which I find as easy as a wheeled bag as it's lighter. It was around a tenner at TK Maxx. If this wheeled case was lighter than the 2.6kg it states I may have been interested though as Berghaus stuff is usually great.

EDIT : An article from The Times last year on the matter

EDIT 2 : Just weighed my rucksack and it's approx 850g though I can't see it less than £25 online.
Good price for a smart case and looks good quality. H&R added.
i'd not thought about the weight, but i havent flow ryanair for ages, i tend to fly easyjet who have no weight restriction

as i said, i measured when the bag was closed and empty and dimensions were 53x37x18cm, easily below the max dimensions. it will be more if you really fill it tho.

my 1st impressions are excellent, very sturdy well made, on a par if not better than samsonite bags ive had in the past. Can't see it falling to bits easily!

ive done a bit of research and this seems to be the best all rounder and a very good price for the quality
oh and its not a lit of money for a bag at all, think of it as a versatile flight case rather than a rucksack, which it is. good quality wheeled carry on bags can cost yo ua fortune
seems expensive for a case, voting cold

Even if it' SEEMS expensive to you, it is still a good price for THIS case. It's the cheapest on the net for this model. I agree that you can buy unbranded similar ones from the supermarkets for less than a tenner, but that doesn't affect the fact that this is a good deal. If someone offered a Porsche on here for 25% less than list price it would still be a hot deal regardless of those people who think that £50K is a lot to pay for a car!!
completely agree
i own this bag and its a case and a ruck sack in one. the quality is superb i am sure it will last many years
samsonite cases are much more expensive but they sell becuase people value the brand and the quality.
im voting hot because it sounds like a transformer!

i hate ryanair...surprised they dont charge you to breathe or fart

Well they don't. And they have rules on baggage. I for one don't hate them as I couldn't have flown to Belfast last weekend for £2 return with anyone else. Just booked Venice for a weekend in September for £16 return (which is more than I would normally pay but weekend flights to Venice don't often come up). Going to Seville for a week in October for £2 return. What's to hate about that? Play by the rules and you get a bargain. Don't and feel free to be full to the brim with hate.

I suppose I've saved enough to buy this case. I am getting tempted but my rucksack is fine.
