Tesco should make a killing at this price!
#4
not that good offer really, as i doubt anyone would ever pay full price for them.

The coroner advised Bernard Matthews' family to get a small coffin as the body was only 3 stone after they drained the water out him.

Wrong. They where alive:

"Daniel Palmer and Neil Allan, both from Dereham, Norfolk, used poles "like baseball bats" to hit the birds.
Both men admitted causing cruelty on 21 April 2006 at Bernard Matthews' Beck Farm in Felthorpe, near Norwich.
At Norwich magistrates court, Allan said he was suffering from stress and saw it as a form of anger release. Palmer said he was ashamed.

Daniel Palmer, left, and Neil Allen admitted ill treating birds
Jonathan Eales, prosecuting on behalf of the RSPCA, told magistrates that Palmer and Allen were both employed on contracts to work as turkey catchers.
Mr Eales said investigators who filmed them heard Allen say "you throw them, I'll hit them".
He said: "They were using poles which they had been using to help round up the turkeys and these were used like a baseball bat.
"(A vet) who saw the tape described the abuse as the most hideous and blatant actions he had seen."
Wendy Valentine, founder of the Hillside Animal Sanctuary, based near Norwich, said she would like to see a Government minister order an inquiry into the industry.
Bernard Matthews said in a statement: "We fully supported the RSPCA's decision to prosecute two people employed by a sub-contractor following the horrific incident of bird cruelty in April."
The pair were each ordered to complete a 200-hour community order."

Not so much the BM but who would pay the original £40 for a frozen turkey, Tesco once again having a laugh at consumers expense (well the consumers that would pay it)!

It's alright to chop their heads of, pluck them, remove their innards, freeze them and eat them but if you MISTREAT one you're a criminal.

I love this planet.

Wouldn't ever touch Bernard stuff. This deal is about as hot as one of these frozen turkeys.

I agree, would rather spend an extra 10.00 or 20.00 and no it came from a decent place. How would you like it if someone chucked you in the air and hit you with a bat.

You missed the point. I meant they were dead to me, because I hate chickens and turkeys because they look strange.

I would write a letter of complaint to my MP.

Did any of these so-called abuse victims do so? Then they either didn't care or it's a total fabrication.

No thanks, for the reasons other people have already said, bernard matthews it a horrible old git.

It's wrong to cause pain or suffering to any living animal, whether it is for food or not. Once it has been killed then it can't feel pain.

Just how thick does someone have to be for this very simple concept to cause confusion?

Had I known you were one I wouldn't have posted.

And, how do you know it can't feel pain when it's dead? Have you tried? Maybe you should - let me know how you get on.

Are you just out on day release or have you escaped?

How do you know - you're just making an assumption.

As I said - test your theory on yourself and then get back to me.

Gobble gobble.
