Pretty big gamble as there's no way to value your existing device.

Great price if it comes off but a bit of a gamble seen as you can buy something similar without cashback for just over £400.

So basically: For your Trade-in to qualify for the promotion it must be a working, complete and undamaged, (reasonable wear and tear accepted) Laptop (minimum 10” screen size), Tablet (minimum 9” screen size) or Desktop. Your Trade-in must be no more than 7 years old and complete with all accessories including working battery and power supply where applicable.

I wouldn't need new laptop if the old one was OK.

?

This isn't subject to a valuation on a fully working eligible trade-in , it is either eligible for cashback at the set amount or it isn't , just make sure you have read the eligibility criteria ;) If your trade-in is faulty or may be subject to a revaluation due to defects or missing parts then perhaps you should consider trading in something else ?

Done this a few times before and has worked well .... got 3 hp probook 450s for around £60 each iirc ;)

Why is everyone considering a part ex for their pcs/laptops and then whining that it doesn't fit the eligibility ???

FFS ... Just buy a cheap Chinese 10" tablet for £30-£40 approx. and trade that in , saves loads of hassle !

After all the hassle of trade-up, do we actually know what spec this is. Very vague on Win7/Win10. Says there's free upgrade but I thought that finished in July?

Trade-Up is very easy , they even email you with a pre-paid postage label to attach to your trade-in parcel. Couldn't be made any easier to be honest ;)

Very misleading title, trade in is NOT cashback.

Since when is a Core I5 laptop with SSD and full HD not a £300 laptop? Where can you find a similar spec for less money?

I'm baffled why this has gone cold? I know you have to mess about with the cashback but HP are hardly a two bit shonky company.
