I'm betting the 1p mobile is only when you purchase with £10 credit, as it states 3 per customer

Minimum £10/£20 top up required.
100 Per store / 3 per customer

I hate you OP! I'm far too lazy to compete with the hardcore HUKdealers for the best deals :(

On a serious note those deals look ****! Hope they got some better stuff on the day, although doubt I'll get in early enough to benefit :(

Can't wait for the special opening launch tonight. Anyone else got tickets?

Yes unfortunately as im the newbie and everyone has booked it off. 8-1 but get a lieu day.

At least this means work is worthwhile on the day.

Great deals but they always run out of stock like in lakeside and hedge end.

These don't seem like great offers to me, not for a store opening especially in this econmic climate. The money they spent on Alesha Dixon/ Celebs/ DJ's etc could have been spent on some better deals. A few weeks ago they had 15% off clearance weekend on last years Home Cinema and TV models. They are still sitting on a huge pile of them; they aren't going to sell them as they are cheaper elsewhere and they must need to shift them to make way for the new models.

They'll have to do better for Cribbs. As it is Curry's and Comet don't sell a huge amount, as there's a massive John Lewis next door...

Amazingly enough the country doesn't grind to a halt on bank holidays ! Emergency services all have to be ready for idiot drivers, drunks etc, and of course the places you want to go and shop, relax, have fun with the family etc,all have staff or owners who also have to work if they want money.

Working 5 minutes from the hedge end store don't get too excited. Once the opening deals end I've found the prices and selection of products to no better if not worse than PCWorld/Currys megastore down the road. Very disappointing launch.

These opening deals are very limited compared to others, a 2 page brochure when others have been 6 or more as i recall!
#21
not much of an offer however ill take my neice for some free facepainting
#22
very poor compared with their others openings. Was going to go as local but won't now. Shame I wanted one of those owl electrical monitors.

Honest truth, looking at prices they can be matched or bettered online. Just got woken by a man on a loudspeaker an hour ago wondered which of my neighbours could be so unusually rude then twigged it was coming from over the road!

Popped by just before it opened on my way to parents place. I belieive the only giveaway of note was 1 x £500 voucher, for which you had to be one of the first 100 there (picked winner at random, so 1 in 100 chance for 2.5 hour wait going by how long the people the announcer spoke to said theyd been waiting). Unless you're an Alesha Dixon fan in which case they gave away 400 tickets for private concert at 1pm and some CD's.

Other then that there were no other cash/discount giveaways from what I could see.

None of the prices instore were much better then the normal DSG fare. This was exemplified by the response the store manager got when he asked how many people were there for the £199 Toshiba. 1 Person put his hand up, :D.

If you are interested in any of the pamflet deals, they give away printouts entitling you to them so you don't have to wait around in the queue.

Having seen a Best Buy event in NA this was **** poor to say the least.
