Ive checked JL dont list this model on their site so they prob wont.

Dixons do however but Best Buy isnt on one of their price match companies as its not online sales ;(

How many stores is it, they now have in England?
Until they open a store in the central belt in Scotland or the very least somewhere like Newcastle I'll have to just ignore these deals. Unless they get their act together and organise an online store.

I think they have 3 open at present now inc briely hill and plan to open a few more more every 3-4 months i think

No because there is no Wii offer in the catalogue for £99 to price match!

In fact most of the opening offers are not great at all.

I went up to BestBuy at Merry Hill today.

Fairly crowded, but LOADS of staff (probably more staff than customers)

Bought the Samsung 32" TV for £199 for my sons bedroom.

Also bought the Fuju Digital camera for £39.99 as well (also for one of my children).

I have the brochure if anyone wants to know details of other offers.

Still plenty of offers available this evening, to be honest not a lot of "great" offers, but at least the majority of them still available.

Still have the 32" Sharp TVs, very good deal for the money as they support DivX, MKV, H.264 etc etc via USB. Still had a few DSi XLs, boat loads of the Toshiba Upscaling DVD Players, a few remaining Dell Netbooks, quite a few cameras too remaining.

All sold out of 8GB Sandisk Crusers though.

All in all very surprised in comparison to when Wednesbury J9 Currys Megastore opened with a lot of TV offers going in the first hour.

Hi, thanks for this, i have been dying to know how they are selling the laptops. theres always just one laptop shown online. I was waiting for best buy to come to uk so i could get a nice laptop and not the limited choice from currys-pcworld etc. so it would be great if you could state some laptop deals please, like the ones with core i3 and i5. it's too far away from my house to go as a check in, really want to be sure before i set off for the 150 miles journey.

one more request to other members who might visit bestbuy soon, would it be possible for you to maybe take a few pics that show the spec and price of some core i3 laptops (up to 550 only, thats my budget lol). I know it's asking a lot, but it would really be appreciated. thanks

anyone have idea when they are opening online, that should have been prioritized.

Hi, thanks for this, i have been dying to know how they are selling the laptops.

I went there to try to get a laptop (and an external hard drive, and a Network Attached Storage drive).

But I was disappointed with the laptop offers (there are not many) and there were no external hard drives on offer (except a 2.5" 500Gb drive for £59.99 which I am not sure is a great deal).

As someone has said, they have a few "opening offers" that are pretty good, but everything else is normal price.

They had a load of Toshiba L500-1XL for £249, but as it has a Celeron 900 I did not even consider it.

They also had a Acer 5740 with a core i3 at £399 (they said reduced from £499). Nice looking laptop and did consider it but in the end decided no.

They also had a Dell Mini 1011 Netbook at £169 and a HP DM1 portable laptop at £349.

That was the only laptop offers.

You can look through the brochure here "online"

I arrived at 9.05 this morning, and picked up the Sharp £199 TV, and Toshiba DVD Player for £15.

The store was fairly quiet, with plenty of stock of the Sharp TV & Toshiba DVD Player, but they have sold out of the 8GB Sandisk memory sticks.

Went yesterday and picked up TV for my mom. Loads of stock, store was HUGE and staff very helpful, will no doubt return.

For those setting up their Sky remote to programme the TV the code is 0121. Couldn't find it on any lists so tried loads to find it.

Went in today, bought the sharp tv for £199, they have lots in stock. no toshiba dvd player for £15 all sold out. Offers finish today.

Bought the Sharp TV yesterday.
It has just failed this afternoon - thick white bar on screen.
Will be going back tomorrow, hope they have one left to replace it with.

That is unfortunate, out of all the stocks they had I am sure either they would still have one to replace it with, and even if not the model is current, not discontinued, therefore there would be no problem getting a replacement unit.

I will be in the Birmingham area this weekend and was going to pop in for a look. Is it worth a 10 mile detour to visit or is it just like these new Currys Mega Stores?
