Quite easily. It may be the cheapest price available but does not automatically make it a deal. Look at comparable brands and spec and personally I thimk this is over priced. Sorry but cold!

There is no other TV which you can compare to this Sony for less!!!!!
Read reviews about it. You have many pages in google. If you will ever notice the big difference between quality, colours, motion on this SONY and other cheap crap for less on the market you will vote it HOT. People who are not familiar with TVs will vote cold this masterpiece :(

No. I`m not working there. I was trying to buy a very good TV for almost 1 year. When I saw SONY W805 I was astonished. The cheapest price for 55" W805 was around 999 in John Lewis on Christmas Eve days. But then I read about "matrix shining in the night" so I cool down. Later I read that SONY W905 deals with it much better but it was still expensive TV so I waited. I bought it finally for 1350 with additional accidental cover. Without accidental cover this would be 1250£. After 1 month the price is 1100£ :( But FIFA 2014 was nice on it :) Now I wanne share this deal with people who are truly looking for very good TV and can`t afford the best one which is LG OLED fo 4000£.

First review...... "What Hi-Fi"

A rather big issue that we experienced is the Sony KDL-55W905A’s viewing angle – one so narrow that we found two people sat on a two-seater sofa could see quite different pictures. It was particularly noticeable in the TV’s black levels, which got greyer the wider you moved away from the central sitting position, both vertically and horizontally.

This means room layout should be a huge consideration for anyone contemplating this Sony, and a big disappointment to see at this price.

If I could vote cold twice I would. No doubting it is a good TV but not worthy of being a Hot deal.

Utter Rollocks.

Firstly, it is a deal if you cannot find it cheaper anywhere else. It's about price for the product, not opinions of it.

Secondly, please provide evidence of anything from a 'comparable brand' with a comparable spec. at this pricepoint.

Lastly, it will still go cold as the OP hasn't taken on board the advice of "too angry" as previously given.

Unfortunately, that's not all that makes up a quality image. The W9's contrast is 2,300:1 with black at 0.09 cd/m², which is enough for when you have the lights on or the windows open with sunlight coming in, but when you turn off the lights the contrast lacks depth. Blacks look somewhat greyish compared to the deep-black bezel. The dynamic backlighting option could have corrected this minor shortcoming, but not only does it destabilise the luminance curve, but it also causes variations in brightness when transitioning from one scene to the next. We recommend simply turning the dynamic backlighting off.

The viewing angles are below average for the TVs we've reviewed. As you can see in the image above, as you move to the left or right side and look at the screen from an angle, blacks get lighter and whites lose their pizzazz. So much so that it gets 1.6 out of 5 in our standard subrating for viewing angles. Also, the screen isn't very consistently lit across the display. The two LED bars on either side of the panel aren't enough to distribute the light homogeneously cross the surface of the screen, making for a 15% variation in brightness between the darker edges and brighter centre of the frame.

Are you watching TV from the angle at home or your TV is set in front of you? Blacks turns grey on every TV from angle. I was playing PS3 with 2 other persons and nobody noticed black turning grey. This TV is wider then 2 people on the sofa by the way. I think you should check it someday in store that this tv is ok.

Like I said. There is no doubting it is a good TV. I was just trying to make a point that it is not automatically a HOT deal because it is the cheapest available (I know some may disagree) and then ranting that people who vote cold should be banned is just a bit silly to be honest......

Besides viewing angle: "The Bravia KDL-55W905A is yet another fantastic HDTV from Sony that flies the LED LCD flag high. Although we are again disappointed by the relative lack of advanced calibration controls compared to rival premium TVs, this is partially offset by the accurate out-of-the-box greyscale and colours which, on the whole, ranks as the best we’ve measured on any 2013 flat-screen television so far"

Stick to a Samsung or Panasonic.

Before cold voting: "Secondly, please provide evidence of anything from a 'comparable brand' with a comparable spec. at this pricepoint." You won't get anything better for this price than this Sony model.

There are ofcause exceptions to the above...
1] If the "deal" contains lingerie models with photos, then it's a hot deal disregarding the price..
2] A deal that has meme images.. hot here again (depending on your taste)
3] The deal is only available at a corner shop and therefore not intended for the HUKD masses.....

HDtvtest, Techradar and TurstedReviews give this TV a 'HIGHLY RECOMMENDED' rating... Price looks to be competitive with the 5 year warranty.

Totally agree :) They even give free subwoofer worth £250 to sell it not mention that the price is lower than W905 model when it shows up on the market. When W905 will be gone there will be only crap TV`s left - just for those COLD-voters. They will never notice how beautiful every movie on TV can be.
4K TV`s have problems with motion so in every shop they keep showing still landscapes or with minimal movement. There is also nothing to watch in 4K besides few remastered movies.

Forgot to mention that on this TV you can play simulview games on ps3. You just need special glasses tgb500a - 49£ each. But if you buy this TV from sony store you will get 20% off for accessories on email so 78£ for 2 people entertainment.
Here is the worse part - there exist ONLY 6 games in total which supports simulview oO For me only gran turismo 5 counts, but 3D in GT6 game looks magnificent - cars are going out of screen sometimes :3

All these greatest TV`s are gone from Currys. :( Lucky and happy owners 8)
You can still get it from Sony Centers if they have them, for only £1299! oO
Hope you will find it somewhere cheaper and still could price match the price - I'm not bothered anymore coz my great deal turns cold :(
Despite several wiser people :{, more will buy cheaper Samsung or ASDA scrap which cannot withstand the quality (smoothness, color gradation) of this SONY ;).

And about angles - Black turning Grey - it is not as scary as it is described. I could say - not true, because it must be very difficult to notice it. I never did. Maybe its because my model is from 03/2014, not 03/2014 like those reviewed everywhere. Maybe it has been slightly improved? Or maybe it depends on 1 out of 3 matrix which you can have inside? My is from Samsung unfortunately and I hope it will not die in 6 months. Hope that other parts are decent.
