Ahhh, but there is "2 additional days to deliver" with the Amazon product :-D

it is 22m though, I've no idea beyond 10m it probably gets expensive.

though I was pressured by a salesman in comet to buy a £100 1m luxury HDMI cable the other month, told him where to shove it :D.

99p delivered, was off a seller who has them on a buy it now for £4 but thought he would try his luck with a 99p start + free p&p. I've had a few hdmi cable for less than £2. I can honestly say ive never seen any difference in any cable ive used

That's a 1.2m cable not a 1m one - 20cm can make all the difference :whistling:

Makes very little difference when it's selling at that price, and BTW i didnt link to the most expensive one on their site.

Just dont likke people blabbing on about made up stories when they haven't a clue themselves
#23
I think he meant the comet salesman was making up the story!

It's obvious he was just trying to make the point that some people are evil enough to try and sell something highly overpriced. Support thy fellow HUKD-er.

voted cold as you have to buy the best cable for a HDMI signal as it is digital - it will degrade. I found this out when I watched the new Tarantino film Inglorious *******s and the drop out in the 0's and 1's in the cable gave me this: http://www.midor.biz/images/Dads%20Army-1.jpg

bought 2 for the LULz
#27
Hot from me. £2 is a steal.
#28
I love gold connectors on digital cables making my 0's and 1's even bigger.
#29
Plus 4% Quidco...
#30
Blonde question- can this be used instead of a scart or are both needed?
Thanks

This does it all, a scart is not needed when using a hdmi.

Great find OP, just ordered a couple for spares:thumbsup:

dunno really but i dont think that you have an elf at one end of the cable shouting 1, 0, 0, 1 etc into a yoghurt pot whilst an elf scribbles out your episode of the a-team with his magic marker.
seems more likely to me that a voltage 'waveform' is sent which would be subject to degradation?
doubt would make much difference for a short cable but still the possibility remains.
might get one off zavvi with 2.50 credit as am struggling othewise
#35
Good spot

I've gone for a couple as well, for spares.

:giggle: who gives.

it's true though, they do try it on i know someone who got pressured into to buying an £80+ cable after buying their tv.
I'm more than pleased with my two leads that were less than a tenner for both!

If you look below this ridiculously-priced Monster item on Amazon, there is a link to what 'Customers Ultimately Buy After Viewing This Item' , namely a 1.8m HDMI cable sold by memorycapital at £1.85 inc postage! And it has 170 reviews with a 4+ star rating. At that price, methinks no contest - and even if it is rubbish the loss is trivial.

or that the other one is 3.99, and between them they make up 100%.... I wonder if amazon have ever sold one of these, or if it's still a freebie one a rep gave them in 2006....
