Looks like a useful little bargain, heat added :)

The trouble with these devices is that they seem to stop switching after a while, even manually. Mine did. Others have reported this

Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole!

It is sold by Betron (the manufacturer of the product) they have over 9,000 ratings over the past 12 months with an average score of 4.8/5

For £2.99 its a bargain

I've had two of these and they work fine only had to buy a second as I stood on the first. It auto switches really well when one source is off and another gets turned on

I've thought about just getting a 2M HDMI extension cable on ebay for a couple of quid instead of a switch. Would probably be less of an issue with interference (if that's even an issue with HDMI?) and if it became worn its only a couple of pounds to replace rather than having a broken port on the TV.

Bought one. Thanks very much OP! :)

wouldn't work with ps3.

I've got one of these with a ps3 and wiiU on and it works fine.

Got one of these to connect Sky HD+ box to a Samsung TV. Get "mode not supported" message on screen. Anyone got any idea why? Tried on different TV (LG) works fine????

wouldn't work with ps3.

I have this splitter. It works perfectly with a PS3 and Wii U connected.

It does not work with the PS4, however. I'm guessing it can't draw enough power from it.

I am pretty sure Sky boxes don't work with these. I have a similar non-branded one, it works well, but I had to put the sky box direct into the hdmi 1 socket and this splitter (carrying my HTPC, Chromecast and DVD player) into socket 2.

I have this switch, it works with my PS4, it may be worth swapping cables around or fiddling with settings on there.

Any difference between this and this one also on Amazon?

Digital so interference = no image at all

Interesting. One of their pictures compares the 2 circuit boards and claims theirs is better. So for 50p, worth the extra.

It appears to be only a 40p difference. So even less point in risking this one over the OP's :{

HDMI spec can require that the content is sent from the source to the display device encrypted, If anything in the chain breaks or cannot pass the encryption codes/keys then you see nothing. May be why cheaper devices or devices that don;t care too much about content protection (such as a Raspberry Pi) work , as they don't bother at all to check the keys all way through where as the bigger boys (sony/samsung etc) actual respect the standards...

I have one of these. Works fine with PS3, Virgin & XBox. Thought it wasn't working with NowTV, but it turned out to be a duff hdmi cable that was causing it. When swapped out, it was all good.

So much easier than fishing around the back of the TV.

I have one of these I brought a while ago

Works with my PVR, Xbox 360 and DVD player.

Could NOT get it to work with my PS3 so have it on a separate input.

Mine didn't work with it either. Having said that it didn't really work with anything so I sent it back.

Lots of reviews on Amazon saying the same.

Yes - its something like this, probably sky making sure that the signal from the box is not split into different rooms etc.

Got feedback from betron. They say the sky box may not send out enough power to the switch. Tried it with an older Sky Box and Chromecast and it worked perfectly :)

I got one of these last time - brilliant little thing!

Only works if at least two input are on, otherwise nothing.
