I've been looking for one of these switchers & this I the cheapest I could find without ordering from Asia.
The better way to connect your all your Home Theater Components is with a HDMI cable, especially if you own a High Definition Television.

The problem that you may quickly be faced with, is not enough HDMI inputs. HDMI Ports can be located on Blu-ray DVD Players, DVRs, Apple TVs, cable/digital boxes, gaming consoles and many other digital streaming devices. With this constantly growing list of devices being added to your Home Theater, you will quickly run out of HDMI inputs on your HDTV. Older High Definition Televisions may only have two HDMI inputs or just one.

f this is the case, you will be constantly unplugging and replugging your HDMI cables to the component you are currently using. The solution to this problem is not buying a new High Definition Television with multiple HDMI Inputs, but instead, you invest in HDMI switches. These are small hubs that offer you a way of connecting all your HDMI enabled devices in your Home Theater, regardless of how many HDMI inputs you have. The hub can handle inputs from multiple HDMI sources and then transmit the signal you want to your HDTV via one HDMI cable.

Make sure your HDMI Switcher can support the HDMI features of your components. For example if you have a new 3D Blu-ray Player, you will want to make sure the HDMI Switcher can sopport High Speed transfers. Details on switches can sometimes be very insufficient. Another key is to look for what HDMI version (1.3,1.3b,1.4) your components have and match it up with the HDMI Switcher. Betron HDMI switch is the latest v1.4 and support all the features that is needed and also backward compatible

Got one of these the other day.

This is one of seemingly dozens of generic 3 port hdmi selectors that are given a no name rebrand. And this isn't the cheapest of them.

Thanks. Glad to hear that as mine hasn't arrived yet. They all look the same on Ebay, Amazon, Cpc, etc

Thanks for ur input. Where are they cheaper? I wanted one that I could easily return if there are problems with it.

I bought one off ebay recently and it works a treat. Not sure if I am allowed to link the exact same one I got but this is it - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261634509201?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Running a Roku 3, WD TV and a PS4 through it without any issues at all.

I run my pc, Xbox One and 360 through one of these. I would recommend you use decent quality cables or you may have big faff on set up

Yes that's cheaper but a month to deliver coming from China. Didn't see this one. I still think I prefer one fulfilled by Amazon. Don't want to go through the "please take a photo to explain the fault" rigmarole.

Thanks for the advice. I've read that long hdmi cables can cause loss too.

gpt one of these about 12 months ago off ebay for about £4, i have decent cables and it worked well. have upgraded the TV now so have ample inputs. if you're in a pinch this little box works well. only issue was routing cablea as there is a output on 3 sides, chunky cables make this more awkward. all ports on one side would have helped.

I got one off these and found the channels to crackle/intermittent picture loss. binned it and got another duronic from Amazon for a tenner. might just have got a dodgy one but as it was only a few quid I didn't bother returning it.
#11
got this a few months back. it fried and stopped working with a ps4, 360 and sky plugged in..

bought a duratronic one and for the past few months it works a treat. apparently it has a better chipset and pcb

I have one of these and it works well

these are pretty poor ive had this one and an unbranded ebay one from china, the one of ebay died in a day. this one is in use but does have issues. will be binning and getting a better option when funds allow

I need one of these. Under £5 is good enough for me. Thanks OP

Been using exact same model in son's TV to run Xbox 360, chromecast and now XBone. Not had any issues with either switching or picture.

Hi, quick question, is the one you have able to auto switch to the device that's connected or is it manual switching only? Thanks in advance!

Any that work on sky HD box?

I want to use this to switch my PC between a monitor and the TV... is that doable with one of these or are they just for feeding multiple devices into one input on the TV?

You want a splitter, not a switch. This has three inputs and an output. You want an input and two or more outputs.

It is manual I am afraid. But for the price you can't complain really. But it does work well so I can live with it.

Got one of these also the other day, seems to work well for me.

Tip: use input 1 as your main source, as it always defaults back to this when the other inputs are switched off. E.g. I have my Humax HDR as #1 and HTPC as #2. The Humax is always on, so when I turn on the HTPC, it switches to that and then when I turn it off again, it defaults back to the Humax on #1.

You're better off using another output from your pc if you have one available. That's what I'm planning to do. DVI for monitor. HDMI for tv.

I got one off eBay last year this was the link - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390659051572?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D390659051572%26_rdc%3D1

Pretty sure it was cheaper when I got it and you probably will be able to find it cheaper if you look around on eBay.

Bought a drutonic one last month. good price for this..heat from me

Got something similar to this from ebay, and didn't work at all. Seems like these actually work, though.

IME doesn't work with Sky box - but then nothing much does...

this one works with Ps4 and ps4 just fine. had it a while, my old one never like the ps4.

got this for cheap from eBay too
only annoying thing is as you cycle through the inputs, it will turn the PS3 on if that's one of the things you have connected to it
#36
cold - bought one, it fif not work
#37
I bought this earlier in the week and agree its a good wee bit of kit. Currently switching between my PS3, PS4 and PC. Well worth the money if you are limited with HDMI inputs.

ebay sellers ususally offer cheaper price on same items. Just do a quick search on ebay for your item, choose lowest price and p+p and select "buy it now" and "UK only". Now you can tell which one is cheaper.

The only factor I'll pick amazon on chinese product is when I have amazon voucher to spend.

I bought one identical to this from a different Amazon seller but came from China and took weeks to arrive. Then it worked for about 20 seconds and cut out. Decided to risk another from this UK seller and had no problems at all. Was delivered within a couple of days and currently switches perfectly between my PS4, XBone and Wii U when you turn one console off and another on.

No need for me to move the cat off my lap to swap consoles anymore :3
