I am sorry that the website wouldn't let me lift the picture of the machine. If someone could help I'd be very grateful. xxx

Is that the same thing as JML's compact sewing machine?
#3
Looks good for the price :D

Is there such a thing as an idiot proof sewing machine that doesn't have that complicated threading system and bobbins that get tangled up? I'd love to make a cushion cover or something but I'm like a jinx near a sewing machine.

Sew by hand? X)

I had that JML sewing machine, tried to make it work, but after 2 weeks and endless tangled threads I gave up, wast of money and time ....
And yeah, I too would need an idiot proof one!

sew by husband at the moment, but really you think someone would invent one that was automatic.

Ordered! Thanks very much.

There's no option to choose the colour but I don't think you can go too far wrong with the price & free standard delivery. Also, it has reverse stitching & choice of stitch types, unlike other cheap compacts.

Would this be OK to hem thick cotton (curtains)?
#11
I can't see the pink or white option?

I'm very tempted... my mum does lots of sewing (by hand) and I'm thinking she would love a sewing machine... just a bit worried she might struggle operating it.. (not that she's old.. she's only in her 50's so ?? what do you think?).

I would be worried about getting stiched up.

I bought one today in store and asked them to find a pink one from out of the back room, as they definately had pink ones the day before.
Yes the lady found a pink one....am going to try it this afternoon before I wrap it in Christmas paper. It was 30 pounds as part of their 3 day sale I think.
Ihave the JML/Argos/Dunelme Mill one and it's rubbish, This one is heavy and sturdy and looks really easy to use. I also have a proper sewing machine that would cost more to get mended than to buy a new one so I figure this will be fine for crafting and curtains....as long as my DD doesn't mind me borrowing it from her..lol!
It is not a full sized machine more like 3/4.
