Please buy this version instead of the x factor one FFS !!!

Simon's probably bought the rights to this song as well so it's win win which ever we buy.

This version is much better! For a start the drums are amazing but the pop version is a standard beat (which is doing my head in)

Cheers for posting this, I've just had a voucher from Amazon MP3 to use so this will do nicely with a few others. Heated.

I preferred Biffy when they were noisy, before they went all Snow Patrol.

You do realise Biffy Clyro would have given permission for X Factor to use the song or at least their label has so they will make a tidy profit off each X Factor version sale as well as their own as the original song writers so buying their version instead isn't exactly 'sticking it to the man' is it?

when i heard matt sing this last night i thought it was a snow patrol song

Awful song. Lyrics are gibberish and don't flow, makes Justin Bieber's songwriters look talented

Yeah, first 2 albums were awesome then it all went way to comercial....

Pop songwriters are extremely talented. It's the naive slaves they get to sell the songs that aren't.
It's very very hard to write a good pop song.

I'd prefer Biffy's version to do better but either way I'm happy to know that the band will be making a shitload of cash either way.

'Mon The Biffy!

Isn't it "Mon the Biff"... ? both probably

Saw these guys up in Nottingham a couple of weeks ago. They were excellent (it helped that I was right on the barrier at the front, near the middle!). Well worth the 50 mile drive through blizzards to get there! This is a great track.

I never buy singles anymore though, let alone download them, so for that reason... I'm out. (hot tho!)

Better idea would be not wasting your money buying any and keep the radio off over Xmas

If you go UP to Nottingham, then "Mon the Biff" it may be?

At T in The Park, It's usually "Mon The Biffy" though!

2010

Also the first line under Name section on Wikipedia, must be a local thing?

Mon The Biffy

It's absolutely not a Nottingham thing, and wikipedia in wrong "fact" shock. It's always been 'mon the Biff' in Scotland.

Now they've completely sold out with this song i guess their new breed of fans can shout whatever they want, nobody that's been watching them for the past 15 years will be there anymore

What? So are you sayign Infinity Land was a commercial album? Ok it was their most successful to date, but with tracks '...jaggy snake' it doesn't compare to anything they've done since.

Here's an idea, why not save your cash and not buy anything. Then, at XMAS when the charts are playing simply switch it off and read a story to the kids.

Love Biffy. Hate cr*p factor.

Great song from a fantastic album.
#25
Biffy's first album is the best, their second isnt bad either, after that they lost me.
#26
Why did they add 'When We Collide' to the end?

'mon the biff, but not at the price of that much damage to the name...( even if you make money off it)

Who cares who gets christmas number one. True Biffy Clyro fans would have this song anyway and the other people who just buy it because they don't like x-factor, well thats probably more lame than liking x-factor in the first place.

It was Mon the Biffy, basically until Zane Lowe started saying Mon the Biff instead.

Re: selling out...are you 12 or something? I hate how people resent bands for becoming popular; instead they selfishly expect them to do the toilet circuit for a pittance for the rest of their lives.

Admittedly I'm not as keen on the new stuff as the VoB era stuff, but it's still very much Biffy. And anyone who has seen them on their latest tour will agree that they're very much the same band that you've seen all those years ago.

Also, my friend has set up a facebook group to promote the Biffy version for Xmas number 1. Join and tell your friends!

Also, it's not intended as an anti x factor campaign, more to get Biffy some recognition for their work. Anyone notice that they didn't mention Biffy once during the show?

I agree "Mon The Biffy" was the original version in Scotland.

It was clear that they weren't going to get a mention on X factor, as even their track title, Many of Horror, was never mentioned, but then neither was Duffy who's Distant Dreamer was used by the other finalist.. Rebecca Ferguson, whom I would have liked to have seen winning the show.

Anyhow, I see HMV have "Only Revolutions" for £3.99 delivered, if anyone fancies a taste of Biffy Clyro. HMV
