Brilliant album that spun for a good few months in the car non-stop (well, i guess it was stopped while the engine was switched off, but you get the idea).

In fact, might dig it back out if only for the awesome intro to 'Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies'

Heat +'ed

Yes mate.

Your not one of those who took the plunge thinking the minidisc would be a success are you? :p

Ah, thank God there's an Amazon link. Play.com have been really **** recently. Still haven't got my Wasting Light CD and had to buy the MP3 version off Amazon just to keep me'self happy.

great toon, but the intro is the worst thing about it...goes on far too long.

I'm a sucker for a long winded intro. Quick way (or not, as the case may be) of creating a sense of epicness and anticipation for the explosive subsequent 3 or 4 minutes. Good things come to those who wait, as the saying goes.

Long outros on the other hand...

It's not just a long intro but it's very annoying also. Amazing song but i can't listen to it now because of the Intro and then when it lapses back into the intro halfway through
#15
hmm. Seems like I'm in a group of 1 in support of the long intro here :P

at least we can all be united in agreement that this is a great album, and well worth £2.99, right?
#16
I love the long intro. Nothing beats trying to match the orchestral strikes :p

Yes. Always do - don't touch the download solution. I get cds on the cheap and convert to FLAC (lossless compressed audio) to play back on my squeezebox. If the download music was available in FLAC, I'd buy it that way. Also, CD means I had a solid backup of sorts. No DRM (though apple killed it a while ago on their music).
