I really tried to like this.... but after forcing myself through half a dozen episodes I came to the conclusion that this is one of the least funny programs ever to grace a TV.

But it's a good price so heat added..... horses for courses.

Wow must have been better troll pictures to pick, looks like it was drawn by a 3 year old with his fingers. Anyway I wasn't trolling.... if I had been I would not have added "But it's a good price so heat added..... horses for courses"

One of the funniest TV comedies I've seen in a while - but then, I'm a geek anyway.
I think Sheldon is one of the best TV characters around - annoying as hell but v.consistent!

Yup its really made for computer geeks who like american humour.

The girlfirend even likes it, and she is british

I am both a computer geek and like some American hunour... but this is just plain awful.
I stubbed my toe last week.... it was bl00dy painful and yet I would rather do that again on purpose than sit through another episode of this tripe.

I avoided this like the plague when it came out (for geeks only I thought) but risked series 1-3 on a hot deal at christmas. Was well pleased cos this is a fantastic show. Has a 'geek' factor but that's not the point. It has great characters and clever, funny writing. It also has a standout performance in Sheldon. Ticks all my boxes.

Anyone know when 4 is out on DVD?

I, being an uber-geek, avoided this for ages because I thought it was patronising, watered down and kinda offensive to geek-kind. Eventually, however, it got under my skin and, once I'd got through a few episodes (and stopped being annoyed by the stupid voice David from Rosanne puts on), I find it pretty spot on. It's geeky enough to interest proper geeks, but still accessible (I'd imagine) to normal folks :)

The first 3 series are funnier than the fourth, but all quite re-watchable. And the christmas gift-item episode is one of the best Christmas episodes of any show, ever :)

Exactly the way I feel/felt about it. It clearly has affection for geeks and some spot on observations.

Never bothered with it before as it has all of the features which I would not find funny.

However on a recent long haul flight they had 4 episodes on the video selection list, so I gave it a go. I actually found it "laugh out loud" funny, the other passengers around me were all looking to see what I'd found so funny.

I bought it a couple of weeks back from The Hut for the same price.
