Nothing new here, I have been buying bargains from Jessops for years, delivery and in-store.

Just be aware that when they say they have stock, at least half the time they actually have not. And what they do have is usually old and tatty.

anyone in taunton or cheltenham that could pick up a camera case for me. (£1.50)

I'm in Cardiff if anyone wants anything picked up....

its just a pain waiting till checkout to see what is actually in your area

mind you with Jessops only supporting Canon, Nikon, Sony and sometimes some Olympus from now on they've lost me as a Pentax user.

I have just put around a dozen items in my basket and when I went to checkout they had 'nt got anything in stock,I even tried several different stores and came up with the same answer.

Just got back from Cribbs in Bristol. They had a big 90% off display at the front of the shop with all the reduced items on. The manager came over and told me a bit about it. Apparently she spent £30 there herself - goodness knows what she must have picked up.

Anyway I collected the 60p Sigma lens cleaning cloth I reserved and also a screen cleaning kit (80p), a voucher box for a photo jigsaw (£1.25 reduced from £12.50) and a voucher box for a photo book (£2.50 from £25). There were plenty of the jigsaws left (not available online I think). They also had a battery charger and 6x2300mAh batteries for £1!

Anyone beginning to think Jessops are running into problems - not with their website, but their business in general?

The last time I remember a store pushing deals and promotions like this was about a year ago, when Woolworths and Zavvi collapsed.

Either that or HotUK deals has a few Jessops people posting all the deals!
#17
quite a few of these are already on here

I don't think so. They're just having a clearout of old stock. A lot of the stuff in Bristol was batteries for old cameras, bits of kit for slides etc, but with a few genuine bargains in there too. The woman I spoke to in the shop said they do it at this time every year. Next time I'll be looking out for it!

PS: I don't work for Jessops (but today I would happily have done so!)

If not I'll take it off you, I just bought a manfrotto 190XPRO today and need a bag for it. Let me know if you end up with an extra. Thanks :D

Yep, If anyone was lucky enough to pick up a spare flashgun I'll gladly swap it for one of the Photobooks or Jigsaw vouchers I picked up today.

Just give me a shout :)

Good deal for two rechargeable AA batteries with charger and case - £1

Another good deal if you need a battery for a Fuji J or Z series - £1.50

Dreadful sale...

Eg the Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DG HSM Aspherical (Nikon AF) is listed in their Winter (up to) 90% sale at a bargain £719.. considering you can usually pick one up for about £500 this is the typical Jessops non-event. May they collapse in their own festering pile of high street fail.

Also have 4 x AAA Alkaline batteries for 5p!

Probably not, Jessops did the same last Xmas/New Year. They seem to do spectacular stock clearances and there are only ever a few of the items available.
#35
Well I wouldnt make specific journey, without calling the sotre fist. Jessops computer system is a joke. Doesnt know its ass from its elbow, and they wont be willing to help you much, when they dont have that product instock.
um, heard it all before.
Basd reailor votong cold.!!!
#36
Got a few things reserved for after 9.45 tomorrow morning so will pop down sometime and see how i get on :)
#37
Fair play to the OP, but this is a waste of time, given how crap their site is.
#38
Jessops stock lvel will be wrong. Your get there, and they wont be none the wizer. Then try to ofer you a prduct equal, but higher cost than the product you resserved, With hardly no extra benefits.
Be warbed people, they are not to be trused!
#39
If it is this one none near me in Derby area
