do the same people who object to caged eggs on "moral grounds",also refuse to buy branded trainers/clothing/apple products due to the wages and conditions of the workers who produce them? or 95 percent of coffee and tea available in supermarkets? or chocolate? the list is endless really-Im all for people having a moral standpoint, but the argument fails if you "choose" what to be moral about-hot from me btw.

The milk deal was about getting cheaper milk not about the treatment of farmers, but that's what it turned into.

I object to caged hen eggs. It's cruel and not necessary.

Any that are free range, loads to choose from. If people are going to vote Asda's milk deal cold based on the treatment of farmers then this should be voted cold on moral grounds too! IMO.

This deal is about getting 75% reduction in price; not about free range or caged hen.

Eggs from caged hens: cold from me on flavour alone (regardless of welfare standards). Watery insipid eggs that simply don't taste like eggs.

So you either go OTT or nothing at all? I choose what to be moral about not somebodyelse. Cold due to caged hens, no need for it!

Exactly. Nothing wrong with picking your causes. To suggest you have to be moral about everything if you want to be moral about one thing is worryingly naive and rather ludicrous.

    Exactly.

I like to pick the ones which don't actually make a huge impact on my life. It enables me to take the moral high ground without actually having to sacrifice any of the comforts I like.

Plus chickens are cuter than those little Chinese kids who work in sweat shops. Have you seen their hands? All callusy and cracked. It's not like moisturiser is expensive.
