Off the back of one of the 20 packs I bought last night :p

What does the big green tick stand for;

We do....

Ensure the range is low in saturated fat
Only use 100% Turkey breast meat
Use 100% British turkeys
Work with independent nutritionalists to develop our recipes
Wherever possible have green on our GDA`s
Create simple tasty food approved by families.

We dont.....

Use any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives
Use any hydrogenated fats
Compromise on our quality

"Bernard Matthews to continue importing turkey meat from a bird flu-hit region of Hungary even though it suspected the area was the source of the British outbreak.

A consignment of 20 tons of turkey was imported last Tuesday from a slaughterhouse in Hungary, three days after avian flu was confirmed at the Bernard Matthews plant in Suffolk"

the above quote was taken from one of the papers last year..I will never trust their products again my health is too important, all they care about is profit.:x

Nothing to do with animal welfare, I'm not a veggie either.
Just don't like feeding my Son dirty, processed ****.
My Dad worked in a chicken factory for a while and said some of it came in and it was rancid, they washed it and made it look fresh again (not sure what they use), filled it with water to make it feel heavier and packaged it up. Ugh...

I wouldn't eat this stuff, especially since the turkeys are infested with big green ticks!!!
#31
Extremely low fat content, high in protein, Okish for salt.

Normally im on the side of the eat anything brigade and slate the tossers who whine about organic/processed/frozen/anythingthatdoesntcostableedinfortune but even i wont eat this sh!t .
A long time ago i used to work in an abattoir (pigs, mine was extremely clean and well regulated with 12 in house vets and over 20 QA staff that were paid by us but employed by a company called Danish Crown ) and i had the amazing displeasure of visiting one of Bernard Mathews factories or dumps whatever you want to call them, the place was a f***ing disgrace. We put in over 60 complaints to the governing body and nothing at all was done about it.
The owners and the people who work there should be shot , they know what theyre doing and they carry on doing it. Sick people.

It is a hot deal but i cannot vote is so.

My friend who is a farmer told me a few stories about BM 5-6 years ago ..... the scariest of which was that no part of the the turkey is thrown away meat wise, so even the gobble and eyeballs end up somewhere.

I used to like the drummers and I actually still want to eat but can't due to the fear of what is actually in the product.

They acted so irresponsibly during the bird-flu crisis that I will never eat or buy their products again.

For those with no mental hang ups it is a good price assuming it tastes ok and the marketing is truthful

no way ! can u pm me the link please , thats got to be funny (if not a little cruel perhaps !)
#38
ordered 40 packs of these from the irlam store for delivery and none came ! They substituted the bernard matthews turkey drummers instead which were at full price despite me selecting 'dont substitute anything'. I dont know what it is with tesco be they always pull stunts like this. 'No substitutes means NO substitutes!'

Thats not the video i see where they were hitting the Turkeys on the head with baseball bats .

Bargain, healthy and full of protien for us gym bods = give. I bought a load of these at the weekend. They taste ok, the breadcrumb coating is a bit bland/not great but still a total bargain for the price.
