This deal's been around before, but they’ve just started it up again. Catch an "Arriva" bus, and on the back of the ticket is a voucher to get a Big Mac, McChicken Sandwich or Filet-o-Fish & Medium Fries for £1.99. Expires 16/12/12; one per person per day. I don't know if it’s all areas, but definitely Surrey.
Unlike a lot of these vouchers, it’s not fixed to a particular restaurant, and even works at the ones in stations (not drive thru though).
Now here's the cheap bit: depending on how your ticket comes out, you may get 3, but at least 2 of the vouchers, so cut your ticket up and re-use them.
And here's the seriously scabby bit: hang around a bus station and pick up discarded tickets!

Or download your vouchers from today's e-Metro page 42.

Also on the back of Stagecoach and Thamesdown bus tickets in Swindon

Want a free meal at McDonald's restaurant?
Go through the McDonalds drive-thru and do NOT order. Go up to the first drive-thru window and tell the cashier that you didn't order, that you changed your mind and are just trying to make your way through the line. For the most part, they'll fall for it.
Okay, so you made it past the first window. Now you must wait for the person behind you to order. When you make it to the second window, hopefully the meals for the person behind you will be ready. Then you just act like that person, grab the food and go before someone jots down your number plate. Best during busy times, so as not to get caught because of the already confused employees. They'll never know what hit 'em!

Free food never tasted so good. :D

A Big Mac is £2.50 these days I think rather than £1.99. Fries are 99p? So in theory you save £1.49. Wombled a bus ticket the other day with one of these on the back, going to go and use tomorrow after I pay my water bill to cheer me up. Sad I know lol.

As Zoea mentioned, this is in every thursdays Metro. Currently valid until 16.12.12, so likely to be in the next few weeks up to that date. If it follows the usual format, then they'll have a month or so break and then another run every thursday with a valid until around the 16.03.13 date.

I bought just one item (a newspaper) at WH Smith (Watford) yesterday and was given a strip of a number of McD coupons, each one for a selected meal with fries for £1.99. Not the first time I got this from WH Smith.

If you're in London then you'll find similar vouchers in the Metro newspaper, or from Mc D employees standing in the street actually trying to hand you the £1.99 vouchers due to intense competition. I never pay more than £1.99 for a meal. Most Mc D's also don't seem to mind you not handing in the vouchers and re-using them.

will look out for this, but daughter gets bus pass and i have car so never get buses, might have to scour the floor! on second thoughts may just pay the extra !! yuk

Or you could just cook a proper meal for your daughter and give her half a chance in life.

This is silly and not worth the hassle, and it's criminal. It's no joke to risk a criminal record for McDonald's junk food!
