Sainsbury's have just started an amazing 2 for £14 deal on big packs of beer, cider and alcopops. Loads of big names included -Fosters, Carling, Carlsberg, Stella, Becks, Budweiser, John Smiths, Boddingtons, Magners, Strongbow, Smirnoff Ice & WKD.

It's also on 15 packs which is much better value than Asda's 3 for £18 on 12 packs - that's only 46.7p per can compared to 50p at Asda!

I'm going to go today and stock up for my christmas and new year parties.

15 max.

I think it's 15 cans/bottles on the Strongbow, Bud, Carling, Carlsberg, Beck's, Fosters, Boddingtons & Stella and 12 cans/bottles on John Smith's, Magners, Stella 4%, WKD and Smirnoff Ice.

Also Tesco Willenhall West midlands doing 3 for £20 of 15 cans of Carling, Fosters & Strongbow,
probably nationwide, found yesterday 7 Dec

Although Sainsburys web ad shows pictures of different beers etc, if you look at the deals, most are reduced to a lower price per case. Only Magners bottles are showing as 2 for £14. My Supermarket.com shows only the Magners at 2 for £14 too.

the 2 crates for £20 deal was better (48 cans)

Worked out at .41p a can over .46p a can on this deal - perhaps i'm splitting hairs. Also the other deal is no longer on.

I'll shut up.

asda is better value for Budweiser ..... 3 x 15 bottles for £18.00

Tescos have 24 cans of Fosters for £10 which is 41p per can.

That stopped a while back, or it did in the Tesco I went to.

Also shows how times have changed when we consider 15 pack of lager a big box.

Are you confirming that the 2 x 24 can for £20 of Carling is no longer available?

Thanks for posting.

Still not quite as good as the deal Mr Cameron spotted (20 cans of Stella for £5), sadly I don't believe he is a member of this site, otherwise I would have sent him a PM asking where he shops

I think MPs must have access to a very special supermarket that members of the public aren't allowed into. Apparently in the MP's supermarket, you can buy beer cheaper than water.

Disappointingly, while you can buy 2 litres of "own brand" bottled water in many supermarkets for less than 20 pence, I've never seen beer of any description being sold at anywhere near that cost.

Perhaps it's yet another perk of the job?
