ordered one but supplier cancelled??????
OMG - where is that Amazon deal maker site? I have found the dual core is now £47.26 delivered!
I think this depends on the application. I bought on of these for my 3 year old. Agreed - the battery life is crap - about an hour. But in a way, it became great, as it was self limiting - no arguments about when it had to go off - the battery is flat and thats that. Not sure an older kid would go for it though.

That said, it did break after a while - kind of killed itself mid game (I think the flash memory corrupted). However, I bought it from focalprice, and (I know this is unusual) they were very helpful - sent me another tablet, but allowed me to pay the price difference for a better one, so wound up with the pipo S1.

Even with that - I am considering buying this crap one again. Simply because I currently have a tablet sat in the kitchen, on the wifi, playing web radio via bluetooth to an amp on top of the cupboards (Complicated I know, but there used to be a streamium up there until it died). The bluetooth connection keeps dropping, so one of these might just do the trick to be put up where the streamium was - permanently plugged in and wired to the amp. That makes it a fairly cheap internet radio? (And before anyone asks - I cant get even a sniff of a normal radio signal down here...)

Interested to know if anyone would suggest a different or cheaper way of doing it?
Like the alternatives...cheers guys!
It's not a blinking ipad but it's excellent value, Ok for kids, Why would you give a kid a £400 device to break?

So from one extreme to the other is your advice..ffs

To keep the theme going how about this one for a round of tea/coffer or soft drinks extra after the cinema trip?
