EXPIRED NOW

The only thing I can find in the Play.com 24hr sale.

Big Trak is back, enabling parents of today to buy one of the most memorable toys from their past and bring it back to life for their own children to enjoy - and of course for those who simply wish to have the toy they were never lucky enough to own as a child. It was the subject of a massive craze in the 1980s and the toy you simply had to have! A simply brand new retro experience!

Easy enough for kids to learn, but so much fun, even adults won't be able to resist. Boasting all the features of the original model, including 23 button keypad, front-mounted blue photon beam headlamp and the ability to store up to 16 preset programmes. With a 23-button keypad on its back, you can programme the plastic tank to trundle forward, then turn, then trundle some more... You get the picture. It also had 16 presets to perform predefined sequences of movements. It is like magic.

The revived Big Trak is an authentic reproduction that will boast all the features of the original, including the ubiquitous '80s go-faster stripes and blue headlamp. The centre wheels are driven by two motors to allow change of direction. Use the 23-button keypad to enter instructions for Big Trak.

Whilst it may be considered "cool" your retro fetish will be over in 5 minutes, particularly in todays modern houses with little space to actually program and use one of these things (if the novelty doesn't wear off)

If you really do want one of these, I think the Bigtrak Jr is the better option.

i remember my Big Trak from yesteryear! ahhhh the joy it brought me as a young boy, until my wee brother threw it down the stairs, and broke it........ I hope he sees this, because 20+ years on, he still owes me!!

voted hot as even just looking at the picture stirs up memories!!

Every Christmas I asked for a BigTrak, every year I got something else. It's only looking back in later life that you see how dull a toy it is and how every year my parents did me a favour by buying me something else! :D

Sometimes retro toys should remain just that... in the past.

Had one when they first came out in the 80's and was great fun, but then we had no internet/1000's TV channels etc. so it's a lame toy these days.

My son loves his BigTrak that he got for Christmas. It had a few issues with it turning on carpet, but after a while it seemed to be okay... must have loosened up or something.

Good price - Hot!

Same price at Amazon

Good price. Debenhams had this for £18 I think just after Christmas which was way under anyone else at that time.

I loved my BigTrack and i do think it helped me learn distances and direction ie from one side of the room i used to deliver my dads drinks to him while he was sitting in his armchair. The key pad was pefect to place a glass of something and send it off!
