big quick laptop for fairly wee money.
Downside will be where zi Germans hide the @ on the keyboard but even a trained monkey like me would soon get it.

On a 17" laptop I'd much prefer full HD

Absolutely terrible plastic construction, very fragile and `tacky` when compared to Lenovo, Dell and Toshiba, that's if you can still get hold of a Toshiba since they pulled out of the EU consumer market.

HP i5's are going in at corporate locations. Usually means they have durability

They are, but not this bottom end plastic tat. Spec isn't bad though

Yeah, plastic HPs... Avoid. I would avoid cheap creaky plastic laptops whatever the brand is anyway. They won't last. Guaranteed
