Bike Mate Shackle Bike Lock (D-Lock) Reduced to £2.49 @ Aldi
Bike Mate Shackle Bike Lock (D-Lock) Reduced from £4.99 to £2.49. Found this in my local Aldi store in Wolverhampton (stafford rd) I am not sure if it is nationwide or not. Considering £4.99 could not be beaten half this is a absolute steal in my opinion. The lock comes with a bike frame attachment and 2 keys.
I heard chatter of these locks being easy to pick but after many failed attempts I gave up sure that it is at least scum bag crim safe.

..i may be wrong of course
I have security sliding bar type locks on my van somebody mentioned this as they have circular keys - after much f***ing around had to remove locks a clean out debris - classic fail.
This could be useful for extra security for ladder rack.........
You have to be joking right? oO

Any deals on a lock you would recommend for a 5 year old y frame muddy fox mountain bike? Was £140 new might be worth £30 now about £90 to £200 for replacement these days. e.g. http://www.sterlinghouse.co.uk/productdescription.php?prdgrp=MO15446
Just left outside of shops etc a few times a month, stored indoors otherwise.

You mean, always buy an expensive lock, whatever your budget or financial circumstances, because the dearest product is always best? Which locks can you suggest which will guarantee your bike won't be stolen?
I'd say a lock "like this" is inherently better than a cable lock, or a chain lock, because it cannot easily be cut. It would probably cause at least some difficulty to most thieves, similar to more expensive ones.
Ah, you'll want the Chuck Norris lock. You take the bike to his lock. :D
Or you could try this.

That lock does look flimsy as hell though. A good twist with a pry bar and it'd explode
