This is my second purchase from this company. I did a lot of looking last time and could not beat them for prices on these small sheds/storage units.

Seems a good price to me. I am assuming you have done a quick google shopping search.

Yes I did same price at another site, but it's probably the same company. It's £249.00 at a few other sites .

You get what you pay for with this kind of thing! 28mm framing!!!!! 135mm eaves hight I would have to crawl in on my knees!

The quality of these leave a lot to be desired. I bought a BillyOh Tongue and Groove 8x6 shed a couple of years back. I had to buy additional timber to strengthen the doors and window frames, otherwise it was very easy to break into!

From what I believe, they also remove negative reviews of the products posted by customers on their site.

Every time any deal is posted from Garden Buildings Direct you get the haters out there posting negative reviews. I have purchased a Wendy House from them and couldn't fault quality or service.
They have keen prices and always let you know exactly what you are buying so always look around before you buy to compare prices.

Just a comment not aimed at any company in general but.... Aren't sheds over priced, I can't believe the prices of some of the higher end ones.

Good price for T & G

I bought one of these about 18 months ago to use as a shed (rather than a bike store). I was a bit suspicious after reading threads on MoneySavingExpert and others slating the company for big delays in deliveries while being uncontactable.

Perhaps because of that I checked my order carefully when it arrived, and they'd sent the wrong size. It went back without quibble of course, and the right one arrived two days later.

It's actually not bad at all - amazing for the price, compared to the prices charged elsewhere. You just have to be realistic about quality if you're buying the cheapest available I think. I put mine on a base of old paving stones (recycled from a mate re-doing his patio) and have had no problems at all, despite it being below a plum tree so having had two seasons of being showered with overripe plums.

In summary - recommended, but treat with suspicion.

QuidCo too!

Got the smaller one of these a few years ago. Yes it is cheaply built, but it is also adequate. It does what it is supposed to do, which is keep our bikes dry. It was quick and easy to put up and the wide doors are great for access.

Yes, I could probably build it cheaper and better, but I am afraid I have no interest in building sheds and life is too short.

Is it easy for someone to break into your Wendy House? People are saying they are made out of bad materials and i would hate for you to be burgled.

Could the people who are leaving negative comments give advice on why we should avoid these sheds? £149 sounds like a good deal to me.

We've got one of these and it's ok. You do get what you pay for but it does the job fine for us. The panelling is very thin so if you were worried about security I'd get something else instead. If you just want to keep your bikes dry it's fine.

Only downside is the huge postage cost if you live up North.

£149 is cheap,, and it will do the job if all you want is to keep your bikes dry. However I would think that most people would want something that provided some degree of security, from my experience of these sheds that is not the case.

The shed I bought from these people was c£200, and for the money you cant complain. Realistically a decent shed for the same size should be £400-£600, and in hindsight I wish I had spent the extra money.

Hi
I bought a 10x12' shed from these people. You do get what you pay for. My shed has been up for 2 years now and does what it says on the tin. However, the timber frame was quite flimsy and needed additional bracing for rigidity, particularly in the roof. They initially missed some parts from my order but I contacted them and they the missing bits without a problem.
I would recommended - Just don't expect top notch quality.

Been looking at this for a while (waiting for price to drop!). Worth looking at tech specs esp the floor.

Interesting find.
OT but I'm looking for a good quality 10x8 (or 10x7 if possible) T&G shed, can anyone recommend one?

I purchaed a Billyoh shed this summer. What an utter waste of money. Treated the panels prior to erecting shed, within 3 days gaps started to appear along the tongue and groove. Retreated the panels again. A week later the gaps were so prominent you could put your finger through them. (Rain came in) Took photos and sent to gardenshedsdirect. They were fairly apologetic and said this had not happened with any other customers? and that this was to be expected when the sun expands the wood. Unfortunately you cannot read any neg comments on their website. Also the floor is useless, buckles under the slightest of weight. Silly plastic windows rattle badly in wind. Overhang of roof is not sufficient and causes rain to run down join in shed, this has caused damp and rotted wood so we had to install guttering?????Cheap shed - i don't think so = AVOID. or buy at your peril.
