i got this for my mom but sound volume was really poor. Big let down see as its target audience is old people.

I paid £37 for this a month ago. My 92 year old dad was delighted. The sound levels are fine, you must have had a dud model - send it back.

Only disadvantage were the small menu/memory buttons and the lack of speedial on the standard keys. Apart from that, very easy to use, long battery life, clear display, etc etc etc.

One good feature of the Binatone is that it has a drop-in charger unit (like home phones), so no fiddly plugs to use like all the others on the market (useless for anyone with arthritis). This was the decider for me. I have now received the phone and have no complaints - will take to my mum this week for her to try - the ultimate test!!
