Binatone has introduced another portable GPS satellite navigation system and named it the Binatone G500 GPS Satellite Navigator. This GPS system has been designed to provide accurate Sat Nav assistance across the UK and Ireland. With its accurate GPS routing information and precise directions, you are sure to reach your destination safely and quickly.

This Binatone G500 Widescreen GPS Sat Nav has a 5 inch wide touch screen monitor that provides a high resolution for display the GPS navigational maps and details. The satellite navigation maps can be viewed in both 2 dimensional as well as 3 dimensional formats. This provides users with a better orientation of the region.

The Binatone G500 GPS Satellite Navigator comes preloaded with the street level mapping information of United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

It also includes a wide range of GPS points of interests making it easy and simple to locate the nearest tourist area, restaurants, petrol stations, ATMs, shopping malls, etc. GPS satellite navigation can locate the addresses using the postcode search facility. Addresses can also be located using street names or suburb names. The Binatone G500 is capable of re-routing you in case you get deviated from the specified path or happen to miss out on a turn. It provides real-time traffic data (optianal aerial required), thus notifying you about the traffic congestions and road blocks well in advance. In case of any kind of traffic jams, the Binatone G500 GPS will automatically compute an alternate route and guide you via the new path once you direct it to do so.

Binatone G500 5 in Widescreen GPS Sat Nav is preloaded with safety camera database that provides information about the various speed cameras occurring en-route to the destination. Also a warning is provided when the driver exceeds the legal speed limit of the region.

Sorry m8, i have a binatone satnav.
It was free and i still feel robbed!
I bought a Medion, far better but, of course, far dearer. :-\

Buying this from here will probably mean the maps are a few years out of date too
#4
And how can it be SIRF 3 or 4? Surely it must be one or the other? lol

How big do you want!
I am personally waiting for the 52" wide-screen version so I can't see out of the windscreen at all!

Sat navs are for listening to, with a screen big enough to be convenient for when you are setting them up, not for obscuring any more of the screen than is vital, and for that reason I find the 3.5" fine, lots of people manage with even smaller smartphone size screens, although the 4.3" size is not ridciculous, but this is like buying a camera for the megapixels, as it SOUNDS like it should be better! - it isn't needed to be any bigger, you should only be glancing at the screen when driving anyway. Plus it mens it is bigger to carry about when you are away from the car too, so that's NO benefit.
