You can update them with a SD card i think.

If you have a look here it gives you all the info you need on it.

how stable is the unit running tomtom. is it as good as the real thing?
    kelvinc
yes tomtom 6 is stable - don't know why it wouldn't be ??

I installed tomtom 6 on a 1gb sd card along with UK, Spain, Portugal and Italy maps.

The nice thing is that all you have to do is turn the unit off, eject the SD card, turn the unit back on and it runs the original software.

You're gonna have to help us out here mate. I can half hack it, i've overwritten the files in the flash drive (using MS activesync) with the tomtom version but then put the maps onto a sd card. Have you fuly unlocked to windows ce cos i couldn't some of the registry details were different to the one of the navigo from ebuyer. Rep for any good info as i'm sure others will as well.

All I did was copy the tomtom 6 software onto an SD card, rename the tomtom directory to Mobilenavigator, rename the tomtom application to Mobilenavigator.exe and put a copy of it in the root.
It doesn't need any clever fiddling with activesync, doesn't need unlocking, in fact you don't need to do anything at all to the unit.
It defaults to look for Mobilenavigator on the SD card if there is one installed and runs that in preference to it's internal navigation program when you select the navigation icon.
From memory I beleive this is identical to what I did for the Navigon units from Ebuyer
