Quality of the bands have improved massively since it was £35, even at £49 you can't better it for a 3 day festival.
Went here a few years ago, Editors and Calvin Harris were performing, had a wicked time-much prefer small set ups like this than the likes of Leeds and Reading! Def recommend it
Oh and camping isn't anywhere near the venue and because of the moaning local residents it finishes before 9.30pm these days.
Used to be just £35.......
I went to bingley this year, after a tip off from a friend, it's great, good bands, fantastic up and coming acts and at a price that is so much cheaper than anywhere else, my highlight this year was simon and oscar from ocean colour scene and Esther on the 2nd stage, absolutely brilliant.

I expired this by accident, how do you unexpire it?
Bingley Music Live may just have secured the festival coup of 2014. The 16,000 capacity, 3 day festival in Yorkshire presents the legendary Pet Shop Boys, who have sold over 50 million records worldwide, as one of their headliners this summer.

Headlining the other nights will be chart topping hip-hop artist Example and Yorkshire heroes Shed Seven in their home county as they approach their 25th anniversary. Three times Brit Award winning Gaz Coombes of Supergrass will be appearing as Special Guest.

This year, Bingley Music Live has artists from every genre and promises the most complete lineup in its history.

Highlights include Gorgon City and MNEK (fresh from their joint top five smash ‘Ready For Your Love’), Naughty Boy and festival favourites Simon and Oscar from Ocean Colour Scene.
They've announced the line up and it looks fantastic! Tell me this ain't worth £49!!

Good value and been before but unless you live close you will need.to find accommodation as camping not included. Although there is camping available closeby
Regardless this is still good value.

Why do you keep replying to someone who's so clearly wrong?

Give me just one post which proves anything I've said is wrong.

Just because I don't approve of (council) tax payers heavily subsidising these events doesn't make me wrong.

But you most certainly were wrong when you foolishly claimed all councils subsidised these events and then when on to pick a council who made a £150 donation as your proof.
How would an economics book help me? Showing you are wrong doesn't require any help. PMSL.

They are not subsidising it they made a reduced grant of the princely sum of £150.

Talk about clutching at straws.

Now go and put on your Stooche CD and stop making a fool of yourself over a tuppenny ha'penny gathering.

Why are you even still here? You've been proven wrong by multiple people in this thread.

You should buy yourself an economics book

I'm the idiot! Did you even bother to read your own link.......

'The town council’s grants committee had agreed to reduce the grant awarded to Ulverston International Music Festival from £300 to £150'

LMAO.

They are still subsiding it! How much is beside the point

Stick 'em punk it's the Fun Lovin' Criminals!
Please please please go and see this band as they are one of the coolest outfits in the business... you will not be disappointed trust me.

Otherwise, you can always ask for your money back.
I would imagine an excellent gig. I worked in Our Price and it still tickles me how many copies of Mimosa we sold to slightly older clientèle when they heard it.

Worth it just to see the Headliners alone! 2-4th September! Just a side note! This doesn't include Camping but there is plenty available in the surrounding area.

Last time I went the band lineup was all links to their myspace pages, gave you an idea of what they played. Frank Turner was really good, probably the only name I remember though as the cider was free flowing!

Also, unless something has changed, this festival actually encourages camp fires! In 2007 we were all sat around smoking and drinking, with loads of band members from that evening jamming together. Was a really good weekend, or at least the bits I can remember anyway :D
That looks pretty good actually, might have to do both!

Bingley is convient as I live 5 miles away in Rodley so no campings not an issue lol.

Am thinking of doing the y-not instead, still get Feeder and Maximo Park although the other bands are usually unknowns. Went in 2007 and it was great, very small festival and very friendly. Tickets are £65 but that includes camping and kids go free, plus they run a free shuttle bus from the nearby train stations.
