I use this on my legs especially in summer as I get ingrown hairs from shaving and this helps it SO much, it's wonderful stuff and smells lovely.
Whatever the naysayers want to tell me I swear by the stuff and am very happy using it.

Bio-Oil is ok, but there is better available for not much more...Organic Baobab Oil. There is a few places you can get it, but if you email, http://www.baobabfruit.co.uk, you can buy it direct from them, and theirs is certified organic. It has been, "coming next month" on their site for a while now, and I have been told it will be updated soon, but they have it in stock and I must admit, it is the best stuff money can buy!
Omega 3, 6 & 9, and Vitamins A,D E, loads of other stuff in it also. It is lush!!

According to one American article, they may have been on to something (ermm... as opposed to being on something....)

Hot deal BTW. Don't use it anymore because I suspect it damages my contact lenses, but it's fantastic at keeping skin moisturised and reducing friction between the skin and any clothing. Oh, and it's pretty ineffective at treating keloids.

Isn't it the FAKE Bio oil in Poundland?

Well last time I looked it was and is NO way as good as the actual Bio Oil ... Even if they did do it for a pound it would be a tiny size and not 200ml

IF Poundland DO do actual Bio Oil for a pound please let me know!!!!! ... Will stock up then even if its 50mls!!! ;)

The stuff in Poundland is Rescue OIl (in both 40ml and 60ml bottles depending on which store) I've used both Bio-Oil and Rescue Oil and there really is very little difference in it's effect although Bio-Oil is lighter in colour and smells slightly nicer but the price difference is so dramatic.

Rescue Oil also has less ingredients then Bio-Oil

Not genuine Bio Oil in Poundland. I bought some and developed an allergic reaction with extreme itching. Changed back to the genuine Bio Oil, which I find is great. Good price from Amazon - ordered!

Not genuine seems a bit harsh, it doesn't actually claim to be anything other then Rescue Oil :|

It will be of no use. Bio-oil is a nonsense, it relies on a perception that it is working, which is pretty easy when users already expect it to work and will attribute any results to it. A few examples: the act of applying anything to your skin involves rubbing your skin which will draw blood towards the surface and increase circulation in that area which is likely to have minor positive effects on your skin. In addition people cite how smooth their skin feels, there are 2 reasons for this, firstly you have oil residue on your skin, oil reduces friction (that's why they use it on engine parts and machinery) so to touch it will feel smoother but it's actually had no effect on your skin. Secondly rubbing any cream or oil into your face will have the same effect, even washing your face with a relatively dry soap will leave it feelign smooth for a while.

I appreciate this is pretty pointless though, anti ageing creams have made billions for years on the back of unfounded claims and word of mouth reviews from people who swear by them when they've been doing absolutely nothing for their skin other than provided a minute amount of UV protection (The thing that allows them to continue misleading people as technically any amount of UV protection will reduce ageing against none at all - but you'd be better off wearing sunscreen every day than applying this gunk) Continue to believe this stuff works if you want, but know it will not really ahve any effect on your skin and you're simply giving money away.

SpectreFace above is spot on with his evaluation, this stuff is absolute bunk! I actually bought some out of desperation after suffering a cut just above my eye which resulted in a scar developing. I researched this stuff quite a bit & there didn't seem to be any hard evidence at the time of this stuff actually helping to fade scars or aid healing, there were quite a lot of people online saying they had good experiences with it, plus claims that it worked well for scar reduction by the company selling it so I thought why not give it a go. Instead of helping my scar fade it seemed to make it stand out more & it actually took longer than usual for my skin to heal while using it, I had many comments from people surprised my skin was taking so long to heal properly, I stopped using it in the end, I'm now left with a pretty obvious scar from a cut that wasn't so bad, it's possible that my scar would have ended up looking this bad without trying this rubbish but this stuff certainly didn't help I know that for sure.

I agree with you on the scar issue, Bio Oil is not the best, I tried it on my son's scar and it actually seemed to make it worse! Vitamin E oil is best for scars. Bio Oil is however, FAB for preventing stretchmarks, can't say anything about curing them because I didn't get a any when I was pregnant, because I used Bio Oil 4 times daily.

The Baobab Oil will help this. If you use the link I provided, theirs is organic, which means you are guaranteed only the purest of oil.
