was it in the chart or just a side clearance thing?

Wasn't on the charts section, it was on the end of the aisle. Had a big yellow £5 sticker on it and had quite a few.

I think thats a bit harsh! Got a respectable 71 on Metacritic!! Thats gotta be worth a fiver!!

Paid £7 a few weeks back at tesco, tried it last night. The game is rather PS2 in its looks considering the likes of Infamous or the first drakes game I would agree it isnt worth it for the money. The metacritic score is awfully wrong because the game is very lacking in looks, enjoyment from playing and to achieve everything in the game requires more than a little patience.

This game is great! I loved the original version on the NES (which scored around 78% in Mean Machines if I recall correctly), and this version takes it into the 21st century. FAB! Bargain for £5. I paid full price when it was first released and don't feel bad. It's worth £35 IMHO - so £5 is a steal! Not great replay value - Complete it and not really gone back since - but completing it was good fun.

The looks are not PS2 style - you'd never see this on a PS2! The levels are so large and sprawling and the enemies are detailed and well animated. Frustrating as hell sometimes but matering all the moves is part of the fun.

It's kinda crappy, but the £5 price tag always puts a shine on all but the sh!ttiest of games for me! :p

Voted hot for the deal, luke warm for the game

I loved this game, once you get the hang of the swinging its fantastic. I completed it 3 times on all difficulties.

You get to pick up a bad guy and kill other bad guys buy throwing them at each other. How can that not be a good game.

I have only played the xbox version but I thought the graphics were fine and the levels were enormous, the PS2 would never be able to handle a level of that size at that graphical detail. I will agree it does require some patience however.#

I don't see whats PS2 about this

I payed it and finished it and I can say this game has some awesome moments and some bad moments but overall it was very fun, easily worth the £5

It isnt worth £5 at all. TERRIBLE game. Save your money...

Grin's second last ever game, shame they were going to make a new Final Fantasy game
#13
yeah, i read somewhere that grin went bust.
too bad.

i have this game, didn't get to far in to it (the part where the snipers first come into play and you have to cross flooded streets), and although i did find some of the collectibles very VERY frustrating to get - especially those in irradiated areas, once you get the hang of using the bionic arm, it can become mildly enjoyable. for £5 though, its worth a look for anyone who's still curious. :)

brilliant multiplayer! and great storyline!

It took a bit of patience to get into but a few levels in and I was hooked, awesome game and well worth a fiver.

On a 1080p TV the graphics were fine and actually awesome in parts

Definitely worth it for a fiver. Flawed game but it has enough going for it for a cheap purchase!

Just grabbed the last one from my Tescos (Leicester, Beaumont Leys) and it rang up as £4.50 so others might get lucky too. Heat & Rep added.

Don't go for the collectables if you want a fun experience - they don't stack through playthroughs and the deaths trying to get them will just **** you off.

I did a playthrough on normal and did all the challenges and it was definitely worth a fiver.
