  It gets 88% on Metacritic (ps3), not too shabby. Didn't realise the first one scored a whopping 94% (ps3) with the xbox faring even better (96%). Obviosuly a bargain @ £2
  
  Do I need to play the first one to enjoy the second one?

  I just completed the second game yesterday, without having played the first before. Thought it was a great game, quite an immersive story, decent gameplay (albeit a little tricky to get your head round at first) and excellent characters.
  
  Would definitely suggest buying it, especially at only £2! I'm sure the first game is probably better, but I didn't regret buying the second for a lot more than this price.

  A similar deal was posted for Wilko recently only relating to cheap copies of Motorstorm Apocalypse and only a couple in the Midlands were able to find them.

  Just been to the Sheffield Highstreet store and they had a big basket full of ex-rental DVDs but no games :(
  Talked to a guy that worked there and he mentioned they've had the £2 offer on for almost a week.

  No you dont but the first is insanely more awesome and the second does make a few references to teh first :)

  That'll teach them, how? It came out two years ago, the price means jack.
  
  As a sequel relative to its predecessor, Bioshock 2 is actually very good, which some fantastic character development and an ending which made up for the awful ending to the first game.
  
  Anyone who doesn't buy this game for under £10 doesn't deserve the experience.
