Oh i'd like to buy this! I can't because Shopto doesn't accept either of my barclays or A&L cards.
Anyone else have this problem?

This is a great game, but I already played it twice, once on PC and once on 360. So I don't think I should get it again for PS3 :). But great price for those that haven't played it already, and there is some extra content in this version.

The extra content is survivor mode, which increases the difficulty and makes ammo less easy to find. Once you get past the first section it's easy though.

PS3 exclusive content though is in the form of DLC 'Challenge Rooms', where you have to complete a set of tasks in a certain amount of time (free a little sister for example). That costs about £6 from the PSN store.

how does this stand up to the 360 version performance wise? Thinking of getting it but not sure which platform.

From Wikipedia:

"While there are no graphical improvements to the game over the original Xbox 360 version, the PlayStation 3 version offers the widescreen option called "horizontal plus", introduced via a patch in the 360 version, while cutscene videos are of a much higher resolution than in the DVD version."

Also there is DLC which was mentioned before

As I recall, I don't think there are many differences. I can't remember though.

Whoa great price and an even greater game I played this on the PS3 and loved every minute of it.
i clocked this a couple of times and right now i am currently allowing myself to forget the gameplay so that I can do it all over again in the future

yeah it has extra content including the challenge rooms, exclusive theme and (i think) new game plus mode.

@ electro - they accept paypal if this is something you already have

Tempted to get this and go down the baddie route - I did it on the 360 without harvesting a single time but dont have it anymore now

The ps3 version holds up pretty well to the 360 version. I'd rather play the ps3 one any day for the extra difficulty setting, but this isn't just a crappy port, they put time into getting the ps3 version running well.

I forgot about the game plus mode! That lets you do a second play through with all your unlocked upgrades etc doesn't it?

Worth buying?

COD MW 2 and Fifa 10 is all I play on even though I have Batman and Fallout 3 to finish.

Is Bioshock one of those games that'll stop me playing COD?

Definitely worth buying

it won't stop you playing them indefinitely because it is only SP but it will do for a while; plus there is a variety of other challenges you can set yourself. I did a run a wrench only run through on survivor difficulty and others have tried plasmids only and pistol only etc.

It's better on the 360: -

The PS3 version also has a 10 minute mandatory install of 4.98 GB, but it is the only version to have the extra challenge rooms if you're interested in those.
