Is this a big file download?

in short - yes. it'll be a freaking huge download.

i forget exactly how big from when i bought it, but i'm pretty sure something like 6GB at least..
#11
the download is 6.42gb

Ordered, thanks :)
#12
£5.41 on Play.com and £7.99 on Amazon so the "90% off £14.99" isn't entirely accurate but still an excellent saving so voted hot.
#13
almost 7gb to download... can be bought for 180 microsoft points instead. thanks!
#14
Many thanks. Purchased for 180 microsoft points. Downloading now approx 6gb.
#15
Finally cracked and registered for GFWL. At that price I'll take the risk. Annoyed I didn't pick up FEAR 2 now when it was on offer a couple of weeks ago.

Doesn't look like it. I've tried. I already have an account for MSN/G4W. Why do I have to sign up (again) for crapbox live?. I'm never going to buy a crapbox.
I'll pass.
Good price. Heat given, but Microsoft do my **** in....

I also had some trouble trying to download the game. Kept trying to make me sign up for XBOX Live for some reason. A solution is to download and run the Microsoft Games For Windows Marketplace application. Install the required hotfix, restart the PC, start the program again and change your location to UK (at the top - US by default) and search for Bioshock.

I used my Hotmail account to login.

Hope that helps someone...

May be worth mentioning bioshock 2 is 1/2 price too, £7.49 - both for less than £9!

required hotfix?
#28
does this translate to PC well? the console versions are meant to be good but I'd be tempted to try this on PC at this price.

Well if your PC requires it, the program will let you know you and give you a link to download it from it so don't worry about it. Sorry I wasn't clear enough.

I bought it about 40 mins ago, was up to 2.5gb d/l and my windows 7 pc crashed and went to a blue screen and restarted, now the d/l wont resume or restart. I take it i lost the 2.5gb i had d/l.

Does anyone know if i can plug in my xbox gamepad to play the game, i bought f3 vegas games for windows, pc edition but cant find an option for the gamepad, plus it installed/activated via steam, im very confussed, shoulld just stick to the console.

There is a free program called xpadder which makes a gamepad work with any game, It works by customizing your controller keys to keys on the keyboard e.g right analog stick can become mouse etc. Totally awesome you can set the sensitivity, combos anything exactly how you want it, why I always win at street fighter, muhahahaha

Fully supported, have to go toggle to pad control in options somewhere. It effectively turns it into the 360 game, altering the UI/menus etc to match the 360 version. Bioshock 2 is mouse/keyboard only though on PC.
#37
dear God, why would you ever want to play a FPS on a control pad ????

Still Alive (_;)

Downloading now with the last few live points I had. Nice find.
