# After your plane crashed into icy uncharted waters, you discover a rusty bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea.

# Constructed as an idealistic society for a hand picked group of scientists, artists and industrialists, the idealism is no more.

# Now the city is littered with corpses, wildly powerful guardians roam the corridors as little girls loot the dead, and genetically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn.

# Bioshock forces you to question the lengths to which you will go and how much of your humanity you will sacrifice....to save your own life.

# Take control of your world by hacking mechanical devices, commandeering security turrets and crafting unique items critical to your very survival.

# Upgrade your weapons with ionic gels, explosives and toxins to customize them to the enemy and environment.

# Genetically modify your body through dozens of Plasmid Stations scattered throughout they city, empowering you with fantastic and often grotesque abilities.

# Experience truly next generation graphics that vividly illustrate the forlorn art deco city, highlighted by the most detailed and realistic water effects ever developed in a video game.

# Make meaningful choices and mature decisions, ultimately culminating in the grand question: Do you exploit the innocent survivors of Rapture...or save them?

# For ages 18 and over.

Is in my local argos so good luck finding it near you

This isn't exactly the special edition, as I think it's just different casing but it's a good price for the tin edition, as these generally keep there values more than the standard versions.

great deal thanks ordered mine to collect tomorrow:thumbsup: voted hot

I bought this yesterday in Argos, but it was the normal box, not the tin box version.
I'm sure it was the same item number, but won't be able to check until I get home.
deeyup

Just checked, It is the same item number, maybe the OP was lucky getting the tin version.

I got offered the normal edition too. I was told that the picture of the steel case edition was for illustration purposes only.

If thats the case, then its not the best price sadly for it.

To be honest, steel case or not its a fantastic game, I got the steel case edition and faceplate on release from Blockbuster for £34.99 and I have to say if you can get the steelbook edition it really does look very nice indeed, although mearly cosmetic as the inner manual and DVD are the same as the regular release.

Voted warm, unless you can confirm that you are getting the steelbook edition, not the best price for this,
#14
:x went to pick mine up and argos only have the normal edition didnt get it good post if you can get one
#15
Same story at another argos, normal edition only. It seems getting the steel edition was a mistake.

You should of told them that's considered as false advertising unless it states it's only for illustration purposes.

If they won't allow the tin edition for the price, then it would be wise to buy it from shopto for £4 less plus quidco

Real sorry people

The 'steel case' is not even worth bothering with. It's not a proper metal box it's basically a glorified kit-kat wrapping on the case. Tin clad you could say.

If you tap it you don't get a metallic clunk.

The game is terrific though. Don't waste an extra £5 on the case.

I would disagree that its not worth bothering with, although perhaps not worth the extra cost, when I bought mine it was at the same price of £34.99 as the regular edition.

All steel case, or actually correctly marketed as Steelbook cases www.steelbook.com are plastic hinged cases with a thin tin cladding round, they are never solid steel...would cost a fortune to produce like that!.

I think with Bioshocks Art Deco appeal, with the rusted look of the Steel edition its an extremely nice looking edition.

yep I have just been offered the normal aswel the reason I was given was..."we dont have a huge demand for the steelbox version therefore dont keep many in store and the normal one is the only repl we have in stock".... seems a bit iffyto me
