Just thought I'd go into my local store again to see if there is anymore good PC games for £4.97 and found BioShock. So for that price i thought why not give it a go. It's not available online, it's retailing everywhere else for around £15 or more.

The game comes in a tin packaging which includes the Game DVD-ROM and Manual.

Again you will have to go to your nearest PC World store as they are still marking up all reduced PC games and you should find this edition of BioShock within the bargain PC games.

Don't think this will be voted as good as my last post, but worth a try.

So for £4.97 that has to be a bargain!!!

VERY hot for pc gamers

Got it on 360 but almost tempted at this price! Hot!!

Just picked up the game from Fleabay for £8, so this is a great price!

if you have it on the 360 dont bother with the pc its not worth it i have both ok the pc is good but its not as good as the 360 and before anyone says its my setup its not (quad core with 4850 before that it was the 512mb 8800gt which plays this game with all settings maxed out) its just not worth it for the same game. If you dont have it on a console and have a good spec pc its way better value than the 360 at a 1/3 of the price so for that reason if its available it a hot deal.

Good game, and the tin case is really nice to handle for some reason.

Not according to GameSpot it isn't. On the summery they say it looks better than the Xbox 360 version on higher-end PCs.

For a fiver, this is a must buy for any PC Gamer. Looks lovely with Vista and DX10 as well and they even released some additional content to add to the game for free on PC (not sure if they did that for X360 or not). The tin box does give it an even better VFM, as it's something you'll keep for years. For less than a packet of fags, you can have one of the best PC games of 2007 - bag it! H+R added.

I'll pay postage if someone can pick this up for me as my local store doesn't have it
#15
I'd be willing to pay postage in the same way, none in the Telford store! :x

Games are better on the PC if you have a decent rig. Not only are you likely to get more frequent patches and better graphics but you get extra content for free while people on consoles usually have to pay (e.g. Mass Effect).

I tried it on both PC and 360 on my PC monitor, and although I did feel the graphics were slightly better on the PC, there really wasn't that much in it (because the two versions were essentially a port of each other - the upcoming PS3 version is going to have enhanced graphics). That was on DX9 though, as I didn't have my DX10 graphics card at the time, so that could make all the difference. I tried hooking a 360 controller to my PC and it made it feel exactly like I was playing it on the 360. So there's really nothing in it, and £5 is excellent for the tin, especially as this is an excellent game that everyone should have.

My local PCWorld has a habit of not pricing up the most recent offers, so even if you see the game at it's old full price, get the 'Tech Guys' / Prince Fan Club staff to do a price check for you. It worked for me last time on the World in Conflict offer, guy behind the till was not happy!

Just loaded the game up onto my PC (which is set up with a Intel QX6700 Quad-Core 2.66GHz, 2GB Ram, 8800GT & a Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic soundcard) and is running fine on the highest settings:thumbsup:

But i would say that you will need to have atleast a high end P4 or Dual-Core CPU, 2GB ram and a 7800/7900GT graphics card minimum to run the game on the highest details along with a smooth frame rate. The detailing in the game is brilliant along with constant background movement.

I'm glad that i bought it specially for £5 as i was contemplating whether to buy it after reading all the reviews on it. After playing it for 30mins i have to say it's a brilliant game.
