It's called a joke, you try it sometime. Us British, and if you are British have a rrunning joke, if you didnt realize. I said this was a great deal, i am tempted myself, if I knew where I could go for accomdation etc. Plus my French isnt great, so isnt like Espania, where lingo is easier.

Usually a one off fee. Some people here seem to like FairFX but the minimum load is £100, too expensive in my opinion especially when you get deals like this.

Go through quidco and sign up for kalixa online, you have to top up 10 pounds, 5 of which is the cost of the card, but you get 9 pounds cashback from quidco

If you aren't already a Quidco member (and have paid your annual fee) better got to TopCasgback. They charge NO FEE and you always get the same amount of cashback (sometimes even more).

Be careful - I still rate the FX card as best - only 1.25 per ATM withdrawal abroad - Kalixa is 2.50 per withdrawal

From Monday 8th February, applicants can now get a Kalixa Card with an initial deposit of just £10. A one-time card registration fee of £4.95 is deducted from this, with the difference forming the opening balance on the card to spend where ever you see the MasterCard acceptance symbol.

Do these pre paid Mastercards have expiry dates? If they do, how long do they last?

who in their right mind would use these cards for ATM machines? People ONLY buy them for Ryanair. Simples!

2-3 years, can't remember on top of my head. Certainly gain it back in the savings from Ryanair though

I use my caxton for ryanair and abroad, no charges abroad for whatever be it purchases or atm withdrawls

As for the prepaid cards loads of people now take their money abroad on them as people like Nationwide now charge hefty fees for using ATM machines - so they are the best way to use ATM's abroad and cheapest

They are not the cheapest (so not the best!). A quick trawl through MSE will show cheaper alternatives:
