Anything that supports the military is a good find
Mind you, surely Birmingham can't get away with charging much more than a fiver anyway... :p

A nice gesture, but discounted tickets to see Bolton?

Obviously they appreciate the good work, but not enough to discount them tickets to Man Utd or Chelsea:roll:

Voted hot nonetheless. Good find OP.

'Befehl ist Befehl' is usually not a very good defence of armed forces....

That's 'orders is orders' to all those not fluent in German OR with a degree in wartime history .

Gosh this is a shocker......blouse doing a ticket deal.

It's games like these that prove that the Premier League is NOT the greatest league in the world!!!

Back on topic though, this is a great deal OP - £5 to watch any footie game nowadays is really cheap and is also a nice gesture by Birmingham FC for our armed forces :-D
#9
Disgraceful stuff from Birmingham.

Members of the Armed Forces get a more than adequate level of pay for the job they do. They are no more deserving of cheap tickets than any other profession.

Words fail me..........go to Headley Court or Selly Oak Hospital, you idiot, if you dont know what its about.........

Ignoring the ignorant ,this is a very nice gesture from Birmingham City and I hope their offer is widely taken up by members of the armed forces. Well done:thumbsup:

Just because someone has a view you don't agree with they are an idiot?? lol...grow up dude!

They are paid professionals, they don't deserve cheap tickets any more or less than the rest of us, in my view.
#17
Good to see and should be supported. However, this flies in the face of Gold's disparaging and belittling remarks about a US General. Perhaps they can support the military when it suits them. That is when they cant sell the tickets to fill the ground. They sold off tickets for the local derby at £15 2 weeks ago. Things not going to well I guess?
#18
I was at the charity shield when some of our armed forces were guests. When they were introduced they got a rousing, and much appreciated reception. Thoroughly deserved.

Great deal, top stuff. Well done to Brum.

they risk their lifes fighting terrorism .

I think it's fair to say that the last half of that claim is highly debatable.
#21
As a side note, I do wonder if this is going to inadvertently make this game a terrorist target? Males u wonder.

Depends if you class people hijacking 2 planes and flying them into 2 tall buildings killing thousands as terrorism.

Some people seem to forget 9/11 far too easily

Great deal from Birmingham.

Our Armed Forces should be honoured more over here, like they are in the states!

£5 is cheap for a Premiership game... compared to the £48 i paid recently for the Birmingham vs Aston Villa derby game!! Hot

Four planes were hijacked, and 3 buildings were hit.

No-one forgets - they just don't like everything done in the name of 'fighting terrorism'.
#26
haven't they suffered enough?
#27
This game has got a 0-0 Bore draw written all over it, i would be insulted if i was a squaddie to be quite honest!! let them in for a fiver against one of the big guns such as EVERTON and that will be a hot deal, only because Everton will score 6 or 7 :)
#28
Well done Birmingham but how about giving free tickets for the military this men and women risk their lifes for their country every day and deserve some much respect.

#31
They should give Villa tickets away for free LOL:thumbsup:
#32
Slightly off the topic - Kids are a fiver and adults £15 for this game too.

I think to be honest this is as good as free but i think for the club its easier to allocate tickets by charging a fiver rather than saying "service personell come along and you'll get in for free!" i think its more logistics rather than BCFC taking a fiver off these people.

Was thinking the same thing, I had a season ticket for bolton last year i'd give the tickets to the taliban:-D.

Seriously though the lads are out there are risking there lives. However dubious the cause or bent the people that sent them out there they are only doing what they are told and deserve alot more than they are currently getting.

If you want to get into semantics, it's not actually called that anymore.
