Don't you think those poor lads have suffered enough, with making them sit through a Birmingham game?

Every one else can get in for 50p!

One pound, they'd have to pay me more than that, oh ha ha ha he he he. Right, with the predictable and un-funny comments out of the way...

Hot!

what soldier in his right mind is going to want to watch a blues match, they'll be wanting to go back to iraq after watching that crap
#13
Good gesture but they might as well have made it free rather than charge £1

It's a good deal, but don't be fooled in thinking small heath lead on this! Their classier neighbours have done better than this deal on numerous occasions for the last 4 years.

Perhaps because your heart isn't in it and you are cr*p at it?

Not a Birmingham fan but a very welcome gesture all the same.

Jes' here we go. The "I can't have it, so they can't have it" idiot is here.

Come on then, what do you do for a job that makes you think you're so special ?

In what way is he an idiot? He was only saying what a lot of others were thinking. In fact his free thinking, ignoring the media brainwashing, shows he's not an idiot.

woah they stop us from de-materialising! thank god they are here or else we would cease to exist.

The question is not if a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, but rather if the soldiers aren't there to hear us then do we no longer exist.

Anyway good deal, its a tough job and its nice to see some perks for them after all armed forces pay isn't exactly the best considering what they do.

Tony Blair should be paying for this deal out of his own pocket

I shouldn't really go in to politics on here but I feel obliged to. Some of my best friends are in the army and I know what a good job they do. However, I hate all this 'we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for our soldiers' rubbish.

Every war we have fought in during my lifetime has been a financial escapade aimed at pillaging a lesser country for financial return for those at the top of our own. They don't protect us, they protect the elite's bank balance.

If armed forces workers get £1 entry to a Premiership game, why don't nurses or tube workers?

SpaceBoyo, they don't ask for this treatment and to be honest it is a little embarrassing. They are well aware it's their job and love it. If people/companies feel the need to do this then happy days, but it is certainly not expected.

I don't have a problem with discounts for the armed forces or any other group, as it's entirely up to the company or oganisation what they do with their own money / products etc.

I do however dislike the generalisation that everyone in the armed forces is automatically a hero, as that's simply not the case.

Hot deal for those that can get it though, as with anything =)

So lifelong fans have to pay through the nose whilst johnny mercenary gets in for next to nowt?

Cold. Besides, how can blatant discrimination ever be hot? Either it's a deal for everyone or it's not a deal at all.
#38
Hate to say it about the Dirty Blue Noses, but well done, its good to see the small heath alliance taking the lead, and as a villa fan it pains me to say it!!! Heat added!

UTV!

@sionkop, thats a touch narrowminded, I think its aimed more at the troops that spend every other 6 months in places like Afghanistan, who would love season tickets and would more than willingly pay the price joe-public does but can't, its a little bit of a thankyou for the service the boys and girls of the armed forces provide in defence of this nation and its interests abroad, even if you don't agree with it, or as some have suggested 'its their job!', I don't think its discrimination, its like saying a deal at tesco for somebody who doesn't have a tesco local or within say 100 miles is being discriminated against, rediculous
