Just picked up some, nice to try something new. Quite a few available in my local store.

Also of note, although not really cheap they have their Belgium Blonde Beer "Abbaye" 6 x 25cl for £2 (normal price it seems) costing around £1.33 per litre, whereas the big 75cl bottle of the same stuff (5.6abv) is around £4 per litre!!!

That is a seriously good deal. I posted about these packs when they were on offer at £2.49, which was £1.00 off.

It's strange that £2.00 is not advertised as a special offer, but it makes sense to stock up at this price, as it works out cheaper per litre than most of the current offers on Stella etc.

For others:

BeerBlog
The bottle didn’t lie, it’s very slightly warming, very buiscuity and malty. Its like biscuity ovaltine beer. It is not a complex Beer though, you get the full flavor of the beer upfront and it doesnt go anywhere, change or even have a particularly different after taste.

The beer could be a bit more hoppy for my taste and a bit more subtle, but thats just me. This is a very competant beer deserving of a place in your easy drinking section. If there is such thing as comfort drink (the same as comfort food but wet!) then this might be it.

The bottle is too big to drink all by myself and is probably meant for sharing. The more you drink the sweeter the beer becomes too, this can become a bit of a put off. If you are going to by this, definatly get a friend to drink it with.

I thought it was cheap, although they are only small bottles, had to ask for some more bottles from the back, but just a word of warning they don't have long expiries, the ones I picked up (after the guy fetched them from the back) are end of August 09.
