Introducing Colossus - the PC chassis for the uncompromising enthusiast. Offering unmatched expandability, security, and cooling all wrapped up in a modern and elegant body, Colossus represents months of intensive research, product development, and meticulous design. The result is a chassis like no other; a chassis that serves as an ideal enclosure for the most colossal gaming rigs.
Inspired by one of the wonders of the ancient world, Colossus brings PC chassis design to a new level. Whether in Monolith Black or Glacier White, Colossus combines an aggressive futuristic design with clean modern lines. Its top and front surfaces are coated with proprietary BitFenix SofTouch™ coating, which not only looks great, but protects the surface from stains and lends an amazing feel. The LED lighting system adorning the front door and side panels provide even lighting for a stunning look, and users can select either red or blue lighting with the touch of a button. The lighting also has three selectable modes, including on, pulse, and off, giving users complete control over the ambience of their computing environment.
But Colossus is about more than just good looks; it packs a bevy of features and innovations that make it the most advanced chassis for the gamers and PC enthusiasts. Located at the very top of the chassis is the BitFenix S3™ - a combination storage and security system in one. With S3, users can place their mobile phone, hard disk, USB drives, or other valuables in S3 and easily lock them away for safe keeping. S3 also deters would-be thieves from stealing your peripherals like mice, keyboards, and headsets while you are away from your desk. Inside S3, users will find two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports ready to connect to an ever-growing ecosystem of USB 3.0 devices.

I don't even see any extra ventilation.
...when half the sales pitch is taken up by what the LEDs can do...
you get what you pay for, which ultimately i'm sure you'll find out.
Cold.

But I do really prefer your review of an item you've never used. Ever thought about running your own blog reviewing items you haven't seen or used?
You don't see any extra ventilation? It's has huge 230mm fans at the front and top. Room for a 140mm one at the rear (that's what she said). A section at the front you can mount a hard drive or SSD, add items to it and lock it.

Jump to unread Post a CommentI've liked this Bitfenix case for ages and the reviews tempt be even more. Really tempted... damn it, I hate being skint! :D
1.) the power connections for the side panels is down in the bottom corner of the panel. This means that when you remove or replace the side panel you can easily knock the power connection. It's not caused me any problems, but it's a slight design flaw as putting this slightly higher would have kept the connector safe from knocks.
2.) The trays that the hard discs go into are fragile when a hard disc is not in them. That said though, it's only a problem if your stupid enough to try flexing them etc.

Yeah, I had that on my shortlist, but thanks.
I'd prefer a windowed case though. Cheapest of that type I can find is £90:

I love Lian Li minimalism (proud V351 owner).
They have produced some oddities too though :p

Surely cold is good in a pc case deal ;) And since when is a £100 case cheap? I hate single word sentences at the end of posts like 'Cold.' and 'Avoid.' it makes someone seem arrogant or pretentious even if they're not.
What about looking at reviews rather than the sales pitch? http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/pc-components/cases-cooling/cases/bitfenix-colossus-908560/review

yeh... you should totally buy this case for your awesome gaming rig. It has pretty lights and everything. Pay no attention to construction, design or materials, those things are for losers.
oh, though you will have to buy addition cooling to make that bad boy a gaming case, which isn't a prerequisite with proper gaming cases.
Guess me and my ignorance will just have to make do with my plain looking, sans LED Coolermaster aluminium i totally got ripped off on.
