I got one at a few months back at £18 which I thought was the normal price, think Amazon are being a bit sneaky on the price :-) At £14 its worth a go, better than most of the stuff at this price point

Strange how premium wines are blended from multiple grape varietals to iron out imperfections, yet with whisky it is a practice associated with lack of quality.

Because most blends uses cheap grains spirits, add colouring and flavouring as part of the blend.

>90% of whisky exported is blended. There are some shockers out there sure but there are some really nice ones as well.

End of the day drink what you like and what you can afford. You don't have spend a fortune to enjoy good whisky

You may know, but unless a Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is "single cask" it is a blend of different Whiskys from a single distillery and is even allowed a little E150A caramel colouring. "Blended" whisky is just a blend of whiskys from different distilleries with the possible addition of grain whisky ( though not all do) . And that addition of grain doesn't necessarily make an unpleasant drink, indeed Single Grain Whisky is beginning to make something of a name for itself.

People really under estimate blended whisky
