Good price, I had one of these for years but much to heavy and cumbersome for home use.

I'd agree, I use a basic foldaway draper work bench at home, but for work use, we now have a wolfcraft (Unfortunately even bulkier, but has foot pedal quick clamping, as well as the turn handles), because the last 2 B&D workbmates we've had all collapsed within a few weeks use due to poor latching mechanisms, including on the feet, by comparison we still have an old blue coloured workmate from the early 80s that's still going strong!

So certainly a great price, and obviously we were very unlucky to have had 2 faulty ones, but it's obvious that they are not as well made as they used to be, shame!
Many years ago I owned a B&D Workmate, it was well made and tough but eventually reached the end of it’s life, so I bought a new one – oh dear.
As others have mentioned the assembly instructions are very difficult to follow, just being a basic cartoon with no instruction whatsoever. Once build it soon became apparent that this new B&D Workmate WM825 resembled my old workmate in name only.
The WM825 is a complete load of tat, the build quality is appallingly shoddy. The feet on my one have folded up and come off, the way the top boards flop in and out drives me nuts and it’s supposed to take a weight of 250Kg (ha, ha, ha). Avoid list product like the plague!
