Got excellent reviews when released, good price if you buy PS2 games/have a 60GB PS3 - still a few PS2 games to collect which are very worthwhile.

this was a good game, shame not on the orig xbox at this price

great game at the time - now moved onto xbox360 and it would still put some of the 360 games i have played to shame

Superb game this, looking forward to a sequel on PS3!!

This is an amazing game, I bought it at £19.99 a long time ago and to me at least is far more enjoyable than Halo 3 on my xbox360, the dualshock actually works for a shooter (for once!). Beautiful graphics:?

I realised yesterday how much Call of Duty 4 on the 360 reminds me of this game on the original xbox. The effects and sheer panic when there are too many bad guys!!

Definately one of the best titles on xbox (and presume PS2)

i hated the game each level took to long and there was no check points and too much walking

This game is awesome! People criticise the lack of checkpoints - there are checkpoints to start from if you die, but you can only save at the end of each level. Personally I liked this - it meant to had to invest a good hour or so into the game and get stuck into it rather than constantly saving every second in case you 'did something wrong'!
Atmosphere is awesome - the way the music changes is great. And as you get towards the end of each level, a climactic theme starts building into the background music.
There is a fantastic level based on a bridge - where you can climb up to the overhead walkways, find a sniper gun and take out all the guys in hockey masks down below.
Love this game, one of the few I've had the patience to play to the end, and very satisfying.

Awesome game but I traded my PS2 towards a 360 before I finished the game :x Might have to download it off marketplace :)

Great game, great graphics, best FPS on PS2 IMO. Very much like COD4. No chance of Black 2 on 360 or PS3, not for a long time anyway. Critierion are too busy cashing in on the Burnout franchise.

Great feedback guys, I just ordered one:thumbsup:

At the time when I played this game I remember thinking, "How are 'next-gen' games going to be as good as this?".

And time has shown the answer to be: not many 'next-gen' games will be as good!!
#15
can you buy this for the 360? or is it market place download?
#16
Awesome game!! Kept me entertained for hours. I too remember thinking, how are the next gen games going to beat this. Amazing for it's time.

Anyone played both xbox and PS2 versions? Should I pay the extra and get the xbox version?
#20
I have played this on the PS3 and had a few issues after the first couple of levels which prevented me from continuing. This was a few months ago and I don't know if BC has improved in that time (they don't seem to have it in the changelists).

This is an awesome game on the PS2 - one of my favourite games of all time. In fact Black and God of War are the only 2 games I miss playing now I have my PS3 40Gb.
#22
My husband loves this game, The only one that gets played on our PS2
#23
I have this on my Xbox 1 and it's a great game, not sure I finished it or not, voted HOT.

I still play this, I cannot beat the asylum level though, even on easy. But I have absolutely no problem replaying the earlier levels over and over, its a fantastic blast.

So is this not worth bothering with if I only have a 60GB PS3?
